    Mr Cookson

“For two people Yarg Cottage is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped.”

We were impressed by the attractive and quiet location. The beach at Maenporth is within walking distance and it's a short drive to Falmouth where, thanks to the Mussel card, we found easy and inexpensive parking. It helped, of course, to have perfect weather!

The property

Looking south west towards the stream that runs through the beautiful grounds at The Village of Gardens, Pendra Loweth, Yarg is one of a group of purpose built, privately owned holiday cottages, set in a peaceful valley close to the beach at Maenporth in Falmouth.

Onsite facilities include tennis courts, children’s outdoor play area and an indoor plunge pool (seasonal opening hours) making this a practical venue for families looking for a coastal holiday.

A smart holiday home with a bright open plan living room, French doors open onto a sheltered terrace with access to the large communal gardens.

Beautifully presented, the kitchen is well equipped and al-fresco dining is a must.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two doubles and a single plus a family bathroom.

Yarg is on the south side of the Village set along the stream which runs the length of the grounds.

A fifteen minute walk along country lanes will take you to Swanpool beach, ideal for families with a beach café and watersport hire and tuition.

The bustling resort of Falmouth is a 10 minute drive where there is lots on offer for all ages and interests including the National Maritime Museum.

The town is packed with a vibrant mix of cafes and restaurants, shops and galleries.

The North Helford region has much to offer with beautiful woodland, creeks and villages and many fine restaurants.

The magnificent, subtropical gardens of Trebah are a day out for the whole family.
