    Mr MacWilliam

“Sky Serene is a gorgeous, cosy and very well specified apartment, overlooking the Bude nature reserve.”

The lovely owner has gone to great lengths to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. The apartment is just a ten minute walk from Crooklets Beach and Bude town centre. Highly recommended and we plan to go back as soon as we can!

Sky Serene And Sky Pocket Apartments

Two wonderful first floor apartments offering guests comfortable and homely living all-year-round. Designed to a standard of quality with heart-warming features, each apartment makes a lovely base to return to throughout your stay. Surrounded by countryside with a beautiful communal garden on the doorstep, you will feel right at home amongst the peaceful landscape. Complete with a cosy lounge and a well-equipped kitchen, there is plenty of space to prepare those home-cooked meals before relaxing and enjoying the natural views. A peaceful night’s sleep is guaranteed to set you up for the day ahead, and modern shower rooms complement the interior so you can get ready at ease. Spend your leisure time in the shared garden, a breath of fresh air with pleasant scenery ideal for pouring a refreshing drink, hosting a barbecue evening, or simply taking in the delightful location. For more of this, adventure out to the beaches for somewhere to unwind and build sandcastles, or perhaps explore the many rockpools. The sea and the beaches of Crooklets and Summerlease beaches are within walking distance, about 30 minutes or a short car ride. (Summerlease was in the Guardian's guide for its 'perfect seawater pool') With an abundance of amenities including cafes, you can watch the waves go by, and really appreciate the sense of tranquillity whilst enjoying the local refreshments. Bude harbour and canal are great places to wonder and walk with plenty to see and places to stop for a drink or meal along the way. Nearby Clovelly Village is a picturesque historic fishing village, traffic free with cobbled streets or Hartland Abbey & Gardens is a short drive and the location of many notable films, the BBC adaption of Sense and Sensibility, The Shell Seekers & the major BBC drama The Night Manager starring Hugh Laurie, Tom Hisssleston & Olivia Coleman. Why not explore the collection of footpaths and if you follow the coast in the other direction there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath. A pair of well-appointed apartments not to be missed.

About the location

Tintagel 17 miles.

Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone, great beaches for relaxing, and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafes to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round, and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and Heritage Centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and excellent Information Centre. Within a short drive are the remains of a huge iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury, from where panoramic views can be seen. For days out, take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse above the sea at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) of beautiful Clovelly to the harbour and the pub far below. Follow the coast in the other direction and there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath.
