Sited in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this characterful cottage boasts rustic charm married with modern facilities.

Old beams, panelled walls, sloping floors and flagstones contrast against the bright kitchen with generous table for socialising at mealtimes, and spacious sitting room with comfy sofas and a traditional open fire for all season cosiness.

French doors open out from the dining area onto a secluded suntrap patio, a perfect spot for alfresco dining or sunshine breakfasts.

This extends down to the attractive cottage garden with lawn and flower beds, bordered by an adjacent stream.

The bedrooms are floral and pretty, embracing a country ambiance. Sample the local Cornish food from Manaccan's quaint thatched inn.

The tranquil and secluded sand and shingle cove at Gillan Harbour Beach is within easy reach - a great spot for a picnic, with superb views over Falmouth Bay.

Ramblers will enjoy excellent walks along the riverbank or the south west coastal path, with scenic delights of ancient woodland, beautiful creeks, dramatic cliffs and pretty villages.

Helford village is just over a mile on foot through a Beech wood where you can stop for refreshments at The Shipwrights Arms.

Visit historic Helston, famed for its annual Floral Dance or Helford Village where boats can be hired and adventures made discovering secret creeks and tranquil beaches.

Take a river trip on the ferry to Helford Passage, where the 300 year old Ferry Boat Inn offers refreshment.

Falmouth has something for everyone, with lively harbour, three beaches and bijou gift shops and galleries.

The village of Manaccan on the South Helford is small and friendly, with an excellent restaurant, friendly village inn and a beautiful 12th century church. The South Helford is arguably one of the most beautiful and unspoilt parts of Cornwall. With meandering country roads, picturesque creeks, tidal inlets and pretty waterside villages, the area can be summed up in three words: tranquil, charming and timeless. The perfect spot for enjoying outdoor living, the South Helford’s sheltered coves were made for messing around on the water and strolling leisurely along the banks.
