  • “An interesting and enjoyable break in Cornwall.”

    1. First visit to Castle View. Being elderly with mobility problems I found the 19 steps a challenge, but well worth the effort when I got to the apartment. 2. Views of St. Michael’s Mount and Mounts Bay are outstanding, probably the best in Marazion. 3. Patio and cared garden are excellent. 4. Well-appointed and owner lives on-site, She was charming and most helpful. 5. The issue that concerned her was building work next door. It made no difference to our stay whatsoever. The contactor was most considerate. 6. Please do not be put off by adverse comments about the building. We were out most days and no noise at weekends or evenings. 7. A wonderful two-person holiday accommodation. 8. Bonus FREE PARKING, which is a real plus in Marazion.

The property

View the panoramic seascape capturing the grandeur of St Michael's Mount from this ground floor apartment, perfect for a romantic break, situated a short walk down to the glorious suntrap beach of Marazion. An ideal year round destination, you can dine in one of the small restaurants or inns of this charismatic coastal town, and relax and enjoy a coffee overlooking the Bay where the waters entice wind and kite-surfers in an ever changing vista.

At low tide, walk the narrow causeway to the majestic part-island of St Michael's Mount castle or take the ferry at high water to explore the tiny scenic harbour with cottages crouched alongside, and seek refreshments at the cafe or restaurant.

A few miles further east lies the charming rocky inlet of Prussia Cove, rewardingly reached by a pleasant 2 mile walk along the coastal path.

Within 10 minute drive you can browse Penzance with its sunny atmosphere, attractive streets, promenade and open-air Art Deco Jubilee Swimming Pool.

The harbour is a small yet busy hive of activity with fishing boats, visiting yachts and passenger boats.

With eating houses, museums and ornamental gardens, there is something for everyone.

St Ives is a must-see destination - an art and craft paradise of quirky shops and the famous Tate Gallery, all arced round a pretty harbour and sheltered beach with waterfront eateries and inns. Approach the apartment by steps leading down (unsuitable for the infirm) from a shared private parking bay into the small, pretty garden, sometimes used by the owner who lives above.

The apartment features a light, uncluttered open plan living room and sleekly styled kitchen with a dining table perfectly placed to frame the seascape.

Awake to the same enchanting view from the en-suite bedroom and at the end of the day toast the Cornish sunset from the deck.
