Perfectly placed for long beaches, sea air, great walks and foodie restaurants, Gwent Cottage sits in the pretty village of St Issey, just over three miles from holiday hotspot Padstow.
Away from the hustle and bustle, this smart semi-detached stone cottage with an enclosed patio garden is the perfect retreat for couples, families and city escapees seeking some glorious R&R.
It sits in the heart of the village, adjacent to a quaint 17th century inn which is dog-friendly and offers proper Cornish ales, a delicious home cooked menu, an impressive roster of live music and a log burning stove in winter.
Tastefully modernised, interiors have a traditional Cornish cottage feel with a stone fireplace, thick pale walls and exposed beams.
There is a comfortable sitting room with a roaring open fire, good art, books, games and a TV/DVD.
The compact kitchen adjoins a large utilities area with a fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Eat at the chunky wooden dining table or outside in the suntrap patio garden which offers a good level of privacy and is bright and cheerful with flowers in summer.
Head upstairs to two pretty bedrooms with comfortable mattresses, cotton bed linens and ample storage.
The double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom while guests in the single bedroom have use of a stylish shower room.
Just the property for families with children, there is a large entertainment room set beneath the eaves on the second floor.
Handy for wet weather days, you will find a TV, Super Nintendo, traditional board games, books and a games table including table football and pool.
It is light and airy with Velux windows and on clear days there are panoramic views over open countryside towards the distant seascape.
This part of Cornwall is among the most desirable and sought after in the county.
The long tracts of sandy beach at Constantine Bay, Harlyn Bay, and Treyarnon Bay are a 10 minute drive.
Scenic walks can commence from the front door step with dog in tow, heading along the creekside path to The River Camel and then onto Padstow for a delicious lunch at the famous restaurants of celebrity chefs, Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth or a day browsing the trendy boutiques and galleries.
