This contemporary property, which offers off-road parking, excellent utilities, and your own private, enclosed garden, invites couples, friends, and families for a staycation by the beach, with two bedrooms sleeping up to four guests.

Before making yourself at home, be greeted by a bright and colourful entrance hall with space to kick off your boots and hang your coats.

Foodies will have no trouble conjuring up their best home cooking with a double oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee machine in the spacious kitchen/diner with beautiful white counter tops, a large bay window, and a breakfast bar for four.

After a day of exploring the seaside, unwind in the ground-floor bathroom after loading the washer in the utility room for fresh beach towels.

A pink roll-top bath with golden taps, a heated towel rail, and a large walk-in shower complete this beautiful area.

Two nicely fitted double bedrooms, each with storage space and homely touches, complete the ground floor, one of which has huge patio doors leading to a decking area with bistro seating, which will undoubtedly become your favourite morning coffee location!

The decking leads down to your enclosed garden, which features plenty of lawn space and al fresco dining chairs under a gazebo.

Back inside, take the stairs to the first-floor living/dining room to unwind, whether it's on the plush sofas in front of the Smart TV and woodburning stove, hosting evening meals at the table for four, or simply relaxing in the armchairs looking out at the sea; the views will entice you to explore your surroundings!

The town of Porthleven is a great starting point for exploring Cornwall, with a variety of pubs and restaurants to choose from, including seafood at Kota Restaurant and pints at the quirky Ship Inn, as well as convenience stores, a picturesque harbour, and the golden sands of Porthleven Beach for swimming, bathing, or hiking the beach cliffs.

Historians will enjoy a visit to the National Trust's Penrose or the town of Helston to learn about local history, whilst little ones will love Flambards Theme Park.

The white beaches of Praa Sands is further along the coast, as well as the remarkable St Michael's Mount, with its Norman church and subtropical gardens, sitting just opposite Marazion.

Continue on to Penzance, a bustling seaside town with something for everyone, whether it's a boat ride to the Isles At Scilly, a dip in the Jubilee Pool Penzance Pool, or a stroll through the Penlee House Gallery & Museum; the picturesque gardens of Trengwainton Garden are also a must-see!

A short drive takes you to the north coast, where Hayle, Carbis Bay, and the famed town of St Ives lure visitors all year with their beaches, local boutiques, coastal walks, and galleries.

About the location

Helston 3 miles; Penzance 10 miles; Hayle 11 miles; St. Ives 17 miles; Falmouth 17.5 miles.

Porthleven is one of south west Cornwall’s hidden, coastal gems, located near Helston, famous for its annual Flora Dance Festival. Situated between Lizard Point and Land’s End, Porthleven retains the feel of a traditional Cornish fishing village, enjoying uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful Cornish coastline. The iconic clock tower sits on the harbour entrance and the pubs, shops, cafés and restaurants cluster around the historic picturesque inner harbour, where there is plenty of boating and marine activity. With a warren of streets lined with classic Cornish, granite cottages, an extensive beach manned with lifeguards, the chance for alfresco dining in one of a number of well reviewed restaurants, and crabbing off the harbour, there are plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy, all year round. Porthleven is building a reputation for eating out with a popular food festival established in the spring. Out of season, Porthleven has one of the best surf breaks in the country where you can sit down and get lost for hours watching the energetic surfers riding the waves. There are some fabulous hidden coves along this stretch of coastline, including Praa Sands, Poldhu Cove, and Rinsey, a magical setting for the more energetic. You may have even seen pictures of Porthleven on television, being one of the best spots in the UK for storm watching, with the crashing winter waves often being used as the backdrop to weather forecasts. Walkers will enjoy the South West Coast Path, adventuring west past Rinsey Head with spectacular views, or south across Loe Bar to Penrose Estate with its National Trust cafe, and on to Gunwalloe Church Cove. Take a trip to the Isles of Scilly by boat or plane and marvel at the display of sub-tropical gardens at the stunning Tresco Abbey. The Eden Project near St. Austell offers an interesting day out. Porthleven is the ideal base for discovering the delights of west Cornwall and the Lizard Peninsula.
