“Great cottage fully equipped would recommend to others”
“Wonderful cottage in a perfect location!”
We had a brilliant week. Would love to book again for next year but no dates shown yet.
“We loved the property so much.”
It is close enough to the harbour to enjoy every thing Mevagissey has to offer. We loved grabbing in the day and Night time walks in the harbour.
Beautiful decor. We all loved it. Say no more ❤️
“Cottage Nicely equipped clean and tidy.”
On arrival the dustbin outside was full, obviously had not been put out the day before. I couldn’t work out who the noisy neighbours were. Could hear doors slamming which shuck the whole cottage and shouting up the stairs . Sounded as if there stairs were in our kitchen. Sadly not a very restful week Won’t be coming again.
“We've stayed in a Sykes property before and have never been disappointed.”
This holiday was no exception. The property was perfect for our needs and in an excellent location. It was of the usual high quality for a Sykes property.
“As you say the cottage was and is outstanding ever thing was in its place ,we found the cottage was and without any doubt, we shall book again in the new coming year , there was one things that needed to be taking care off the front door we had and found it very hard to open and closed , due to the front door needs to have a door fitter to take the front door off / reset the front door again .”
we thank you for your true account of the cottage and all its comfort we shall come back again . Yours Stev / pat
Very clean , Good location . I would recommend this cottage. Improvements that could be made are smart TV. improved wifi as it lost signal. improve shower as the temperature is not well controlled.

Perfect for a seaside holiday, this traditional Cornish cottage is situated in the heart of the charming fishing village of Mevagissey, strolling distance from its working harbour.
Tucked away along a quiet pedestrian passageway, Carefree Cottage sits away from the hustle and bustle yet is moments from the pubs, cafes, restaurants, galleries and shops which line the narrow, higgledy piggledy streets and cluster around the harbour walls. For families, couples, walkers, beach-bunnies and foodies it is ideal, and dogs are welcome too!
There is no need to bring the car although a parking permit is provided for use in the nearby public car park.
Coastal hikes begin from the door.
Explore the scenic South West coast path which runs through the village and provides access to Mevagissey Beach which is dog friendly year round.
For those who prefer a wider stretch of sand, head for nearby Gorran Haven or Pentewen Beach which is excellent for swimming and water sports.
Hop on a ferry from the harbour to the exclusive waterfront town of Fowey and see the natural beauty of the Cornish Riviera from the water.
The nearby Lost Gardens of Heligan, world-famous Eden Project and the historic port of Charlestown with its tall ships, as featured in the BBC's Poldark's series, are a must for the itinerary. You will feel instantly at home in this sweet little seaside cottage, newly refurbished and positioned at the end of a terrace.
Enter through a large hall into a sitting room, stylish and cosy with plump sofas, exposed beams, panelling, books, games, DVD's and decorative nautical touches.
Find everything you need in the compact kitchen dining room to cook up a storm and seating for four at the dining table.
Head up the steep stairs to two peaceful bedrooms with seriously comfy beds and views over village roof tops.
