Reached along a private driveway, Sampson Barn sits in Trescowe, minutes from Cornwall's south coast hotspot destinations.

The market town of Penzance is a 20 minute drive away, with bustling harbour and outdoor Jubilee Swimming Pool.

Marazion has golden sands arcing around Mounts Bay and an abundance of galleries, gift shops, cafes and traditional inns.

Discover the mesmeric landmark attraction of St Michael's Mount, reached by foot across the causeway or ferry depending on the tide.

Explore the characterful harbour framed by cute cottages or visit the gardens that climb up to the fortress atop.

Pasties and cream teas can be savoured whilst kite-surfers and dinghies skim the waters.

Praa Sands is even closer, with beach bar/restaurant and surf school, a popular haven for water enthusiasts and sun-seekers.

Golfers can tee off at the 9 hole course and the coastal footpath is ideal for walkers and four-legged friends, promising a seascape vista of coves, cliffs and beaches.

St Ives on the north coast is a must with fabulous restaurants, boutiques and galleries dotted around the pretty harbour.

Contemporary in design, the interior of Sampson Barn is beautifully presented - a haven of spacious tranquillity set amidst a private, enclosed garden with sunspot lawn and patio ideal for dining alfresco.

The sitting room has a wood burner and is open plan to the dining area and super chic kitchen, with all mod cons.

The bedroom is comfy and the spangly bathroom has the luxury of a bath and shower.

About the location

Marazion 4.5 miles ; Helston 6 miles ; Porthleven 5 miles

The village of Praa Sands sits on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. Praa Sands is known for its mile-long sandy beach and excellent surfing conditions. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach – the perfect spot for lunch with a view or sunset drinks – a Post Office and general stores, beach cafe with fish & chips, and a beach/surf shop stocked with everything you could need for a great day at the beach. Praa Sands is also home to a Golf and Country Club, from where the most wonderful sea vista can be enjoyed whilst you play. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle, the tower of which dates back to the 16th century. It is said that Pengersick is haunted, and that the ghost of a monk has been seen wandering the grounds! The house at Pengersick is rumoured to be the birth place of John Carter, the self styled King of Prussia and a tunnel which leads from the house to the beach was apparently once used by smugglers.
