“We were a family of 4 adults (son, 23 & daughter, 20) visiting in early Sept.”
We all LOVED Mill Mooring. We were thrilled when we arrived and saw the quiet lane with water directly opposite the cottage. We all LOVED Mill Mooring. We were thrilled when we arrived and saw the quiet lane with water directly opposite the cottage. Safe off road parking and easy access for the cottage at the end of days out. The estuary opposite was an extension of the cottage for us, we took coffee over to a bench in the mornings and had an evening drink watching the water and wildlife and the sun go down after days out in the beautiful surrounding village and local area. We loved the whole feel of the cottage. It was well equipped and yet still had a relaxing holiday atmosphere, rather than a clinical hotelish type feel. The whole cottage has wonderful character, we enjoyed using the patio for a lunchtime meal, the local village is pretty to walk around and has lovely fresh fish/meat/grocery shop/Post Office/pub all in walking distance. We hired kayaks and found ourselves in the water just outside the house! Water pressure upstairs was low during our week, but it was adequate and did not spoil our stay. One minor note ref sitting room area, it was adequate for 4 of us but does not offer equal seating options for 4+ adults even though it does sleep 6. That said, we all have very happy memories of a very special week at Mill Mooring and would go back tomorrow!
