The property

Set back from the water’s edge and small quayside in Mylor Bridge, Mill Mooring is a lovely 250 year old semi-detached cottage in this charming Cornish creek-side village.

Alongside the cottage parking for a car and beyond an arched gateway a lovely little enclosed courtyard garden with table and chairs, great for alfresco meals or just relaxing with a good book.

Downstairs the cottage has parquet floors and space to stretch out with a sitting room complete with woodburner and TV/DVD and glazed door to patio and kitchen (dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and electric cooker and hob) and step down to dining room (woodburner).

Beyond the kitchen a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer and oodles of space for drying wet dogs and watersports kit, plus space to store two bikes.

From the dining room open sided stairs lead up to three bedrooms; all double plus a family bathroom.

Two of the bedrooms also have ceiling fans. A gem of a cottage in a village with lots of amenities (a post office/shop, pub, fishmongers and butchers), watersports and boat hire locally and only a mile and half from the iconic Pandora Inn on the Restronguet Creek.

On the opposite side of the Creek are the village playing fields with playground area, football/rugby posts, tennis court and cricket nets.

At low tide, use the stepping stones to nip across!

Falmouth 3.5 miles from where you can hop on a cruise of the Carrick Roads estuary.

Nearest sandy beaches at Swanpool or Gyllyngvase, 5 miles.

King Harry Ferry to Roseland Peninsula 8 miles and Cathedral city of Truro 8.5 miles.

A sought-after and picturesque village at the head of Mylor Creek that runs up from the Carrick Roads, the World’s third largest deep water harbour. Boats and sailing, wooded creeks, softly gliding water, riverside pubs and fabulous gardens epitomise the area. This friendly village has a superb selection of local shops (try the fresh fish!), a Post Office, a good pub and several restaurants within easy reach. The nearby harbour town of Falmouth with its exciting Maritime Museum and its castle, beaches and marina makes a great day out while the Cathedral city of Truro famous for its cobbled streets, theatre, museums and vibrant shopping centre should not be missed. Take the car, or a boat from Falmouth, for a trip up the stunningly beautiful Helford River and while there, call in at Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens for the horticultural treat of the year. The area is perfectly placed too for exploring the rugged cliffs, sandy coves and fishing villages of the Lizard Peninsula, also The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within an hour’s drive.
