“We have just come back from this property and it is a lovely house, however it needs some attention.”

What was good is as follows: Beautiful location, nice village, handy for walks, pubs etc, comfy beds, large rooms, massive kitchen, lots of crockery, glasses, pans etc - lots of room for a group of 9. What was not so good: Very scruffy and tiny garden, hot tub provided but not filled, no instructions on anything in the house ie the need to find and turn the boiler on, how to work the aga, how to work the hot tub (in case we filled it ourselves) etc. Every room was dirty/dusty. What was not so good: Very scruffy and tiny garden, hot tub provided but not filled, no instructions on anything in the house ie the need to find and turn the boiler on, how to work the aga, how to work the hot tub (in case we filled it ourselves) etc. Every room was dirty/dusty. Some of the bedding was damp/musty and some beds even had sand in them. Not enough toilet paper for each of the toilets (just 1 roll per room would have been nice), and dish cloths had to be found in the mop bucket in the utility room - perhaps keep them on the sink or under it. It is also true that some of the external doors don't seem safe ie hard to lock/open and shut. Essentially this could be a fabulous property if it was cleaned properly, secured, maintained a little and was rented with a welcome pack that provides clear instructions.

About the location

ST JUST

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
