The property

Kittiwake, an old fisherman's cottage, is an end-terrace cottage set over three floors and idyllically overlooking Newlyn Harbour and the renowned Mount's Bay.

With charming accommodation for six guests and the whole of South West Cornwall beckoning, this is a marvellous base for friends and family to enjoy together.

Enter the property through its enticing sitting room, exposed stone walls and a coal-effect fire help bring a sense of warmth whilst you put your feet up and watch a favourite film.

Next you will discover the charming kitchen/diner which is well-equipped with multi-coloured wall tiles bringing a traditional feel.

Kittiwake rests over three floors, on the first floor you will find the lovely family bathroom, a king-size bedroom and an adult bunk room both with delightful feature fireplaces to make you feel right at home.

A more peaceful, romantic bedroom lies on the upper second floor - this double bedroom is enhanced by stunning wooden beams and boasts its own picture-perfect balcony displaying unbeatable views of Newlyn's stunning harbour and St Michael's Mount in the distance.

This splendid seaside town is lined with quaint buildings hosting a wealth of wonderful cafés, bars and restaurants as well as a modern art gallery.

The world-renowned coastal resort of Penzance is the neighbouring town and is certainly worth at least one visit throughout your stay.

For you avid cyclists and hikers, the well-known South West Coast Path runs close by, providing scenery like you've never seen before.

A well-placed, characterful cottage waiting to be the destination for your next trip away.

About the location

NEWLYN

Penzance 1.2 miles; Marazion 6.6 miles; St Ives 8.9 miles.

Nestled next to Penzance, and although still a quaint town in its own right, Newlyn is actually the third largest fishing port in England, and an important Port of Refuge for all seafaring craft. This Cornish town is clustered around the harbour, with its historic 800 year old quay (the Mayflower actually left for America from this quay, not Plymouth) curling around a few small boats on the western side. Famous for the Newlyn school of Art and Newlyn Copper, the Cornwall Coastal Path passes through the town, as does the level Mousehole to Marazion cycle path. An abundance of wildlife and flora can be enjoyed along both, with basking sharks, dolphins and grey seals often seen. The Cornish coast is renowned for surfing, and Penwith offers some splendid beaches on which to enjoy this sport as well as surf fishing for sea bass. Mounts Bay also offers a wealth of opportunity for watersports enthusiasts as well as giving visitors an opportunity to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.
