The property

Only 4 miles from all of Newquay’s attractions, this inviting cottage presents a beautifully furnished, spacious layout that is perfect for a family escape or romantic couples getaway.

Accessed by a quiet country lane off the main road into the Newquay, you will find this cottage nestled away in the rural hamlet of Mountjoy.

Enter the cottage and you are greeted by a spacious open plan living room with a vaulted ceiling and modern log burner – perfect for those colder Cornish nights.

The bright and airy kitchen comes well equipped with integrated appliances that assists your cooking requirements while the lovely oak table is the perfect place to gather at mealtimes.

The first floor is occupied by a tastefully decorated master king-size double bedroom, while the ground floor hosts a second king-size double as well as a twin, with pull out trundle bed for added convenience.

The ground floor bedrooms are also wheel chair friendly with large accessible doors.

Outside there’s an added feature of a warm shower perfect for rinsing off from when you return from the beach.

Quintrell Downs is your closest village, offering a selection of traditional pubs with a welcoming village ambiance.

Further afield, the lively town of Newquay awaits, home to some of the most iconic British beaches, including the world famous Fistral Beach.

There’s a wealth of restaurants and eateries to try, as well as family attractions such as the Zoo or Sea Life Centre.

Head along the South West Coastal Path for breathtaking views, or, for a change of pace, visit the cobbled city of Truro where quintessential Cornwall meets a city lifestyle.

The Eden Project is a must see, one of kind attraction and it’s only half an hour’s driveway.

The town, with its zoo, sea life centre and varied selection of restaurants and pubs, also promises a holiday to remember. For avid walkers, the South West Coast Path passes in both directions along a stunning coastline of high cliffs, hidden coves and yet more beaches. The quaint harbour and fishing village of Padstow is just 14 miles away, while Truro, with its museums, cathedral, restaurants and cobbled streets, as well as the Eden Project, can be reached within 30 minutes. Picturesque St Ives and the Tate St Ives gallery is under an hour's drive or a train ride away. In fact, because nothing in Cornwall is far from Newquay, it’s the perfect touring base.
