“We loved Mews cottage and will definitely go back.”

It located in a pathway at the side of the King Arthur pub. Right in the centre of the village. It has a small paved secure garden, perfect for bringing a dog on holiday. The cottage is well maintained and contains everything you need for a self catering holiday. Floors are a mixture of wood and stone, easy to clean if you come back a bit wet. The owner also left us a lovely fruitcake on our arrival as well as a parking pass for the pub car park. Couldn’t ask for more. Will definitely stay again

About the location

TINTAGEL

Camelford 5.9 miles; Wadebridge 13 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination, surrounded by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the South West Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and within a short distance is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary and Port Isaac are all within a short but scenic drive.
