“The Old Milking Parlour is a great place to stay.”

From the welcome from our hosts to the farewell from them it was good. The place was so comfortable and we so enjoyed watching the sheep from the patio with the sea in the distance. I would definitely recommend it.

“This cottage has to be one of my all time top 10 places to stay.”

The vendors are lovely people and were very willing to make our stay a comfortable one. The cottage was perfect for what we wanted, we needed to bring nothing, everything was provided, from washing up liquid to tea, coffee, milk and biscuits, towels hand cleaner and just about anything else you would require on a holiday visit to Cornwall. Thank you for a very pleasant experience.

“A very nice property centrally located near St Austell with good access to all local tourist spots particularly the Eden Project easy access to main routes allowing many day or evening trips to coastal villages Lands End as well as Devon coast.”

Property is very comfortable with modern amenities, well maintained with great welcome and advice from hosts. We had a very enjoyable week and would recommend this Old Milking Parlour to anyone! Loved it!

“The cottage was very clean with everything you would expect.”

With windows open the road noise was loud for me as I live very rural. The weather did not allow us to sit on the beautiful glass surround patio with views of the sheep and distant sea. Ideal cottage for visiting many of the Cornish gardens. Good local amenities.

“The photos don't do this property justice.”

It is tucked away from the main road with sea views and sheep for company. The owners live next door and were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very well thought out in terms of the layout, and items that were in the house. In the kitchen there was actually space to unpack your food and all utensils etc you could need. The lounge was cosy with patio doors onto patio with table (we ate outside every day). We were blessed with fantastic weather it was a great base for exploring the coastline and visiting Eden Project and other nearby attractions.

“We had a great week at The Old Milking Parlour.”

The furnishings were comfortable, the owners helpful and the kitchen very well equipped. From lounge and patio there is a view across a green sheep-field with the sea in the distance. Highly recommended. One small oddity - take slippers, as the shower room is accessed through the hallway where you may have left muddy boots. (Also a separate bathroom with shower over, not suffering from this small problem.)

“This is a really lovely, cosy, home from home.”

There is everything you need available for a break. The whole flat was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The huge bed in the main bedroom was comfortable and there is a lot of space for hanging clothes. The lounge looks out over a field with sheep grazing. There is a good-sized patio which we were able to sit on in March, {we were lucky with the weather}. It is close to so many places that appealed to us. The Lost Gardens of Heligan were beautiful and great for walks. Port Issac is stunning. Just check places are actually open before you travel as in March some places were not opening until Easter. The family who owns it are friendly and helpful. Thanks for an amazing stay. We will recommend you to firends and family.

“The photos don't do this property justice.”

The rooms are bigger than you think and of a high standard. Everything has been thought of, right down to the little things often missing when we've stayed in places before. The view is impressive. There's a Chinese takeaway, petrol station with a shop and a pub close by. The owners came to say hello and made sure everything was fine but then left us to it. We plan on visiting again next year

“The property met all our needs and more.”

The owners were kind and very friendly. We felt that some of the photos didn’t quite do the bungalow justice. It really is beautiful and spotlessly clean, with every convenience on site or close at hand. Even though we visited in November, it was clear to see that at the right time of year, the Patio with furniture, would be a great place to sit and enjoy the wonderful views out over sea. “I would thoroughly recommend this property for a holiday, it's in a beautiful location with a sea view which is a bonus, quiet setting with just sheep in the field, it's so relaxing just to sit and watch them.”

The property was emaculate warm and comfortable with everything you need when you arrive especially when you need that cuppa after a long drive, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and we would definitely be wanting to return. The supermarket's are a short drive away plus an indoor market which is huge with an eatery inside definitely worth going to the Eden project is just a short drive away.The owner's live next door but let you get on and are extremely accommodating and lovely people

“We really enjoyed our stay.”

The house was very clean and comfortable with excellent kitchen equipment and great knives .. too often we have had to hunt for a decent knife in holiday homes ! Good WiFi as well. The SuperKing zip and link bed was a plus as often in smaller properties there is not a bed that caters for taller folk ! Lovely rural outlook with sheep in the field, from the lounge and modern outside terrace. The owners were very helpful and friendly and suggested a good local fishmonger and butchers. Local pub 2 minutes away and other decent eateries and pubs nearby. Beaches within 15 mins drive. Altogether a perfect location and house for us and we would definitely visit again ! Heather and Ian

“Despite the washing machine not working ( could use the neighbours one) and a dripping tap, which was fixed while we were there, every thing was very comfortable.”

Owners were very accommodating and left us a box of chocolates for the inconvenience The photo,s on Skye’s web site do not do the property justice it is much better than it looks!

Par village is located on the South Cornwall coast offering a sandy family and dog-friendly beach (dogs allowed all year round) on St. Austell Bay. The village is only 1.2 miles away from the internationally renowned Eden Project, which can be reached on foot through a local footpath. Between Par and the picturesque harbour of Fowey, is the Gribbin Peninsula, which has magnificent views of the surrounding coastline and makes for an excellent walk. Close to Par are many places connected to the author Daphne du Maurier, including the small cove at Polkerris which boasts the Rashleigh Arms and which takes its name from a local landowner whose house was frequented by the author. There are many attractions in the area including the China Clay Country Park, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A fabulous location to explore the rich heritage and magnificent coastline of South Cornwall.
