The property

Two miles from the sandy beach at Portreath, set amidst a big country landscape, The Loft delivers a holiday homestay full of country charisma and makes a great base for seaside frolics and rural escapades. The north Atlantic coast is reached within minutes, with a vast choice of coves and sandy havens to discover.

Portreath, originally a small fishing village and now a little resort with dinky harbour and a secluded beach, is perfect for swimming and surfing - patrolled by seasonal lifeguards.

Enjoy a coffee or beside-the-sea nibble at the town's café, pub or restaurant.

The vista of spectacular cliffs and rock formations from the coastal footpath is amazing.

Gwithian Beach is fabulous for surfing and rock-pooling too.

Explore the circular walk through Illogan Woods with stream and 14th Century church tower.

Tehidy Country Park has 250 acres of beautiful woodlands with ponds and a lake, cycling and wildlife nature trails, plus a golf course.

Up the coastline is St Agnes with Trevaunance Cove; peruse the galleries and sample an award winning ale.

The coast path above the buzzing resort of Perranporth hosts picturesque and panoramic views across to Trevose Head and St Ives.

The 20 minute train journey from St Erth to St Ives is a real pleaser, hugging the oceans edge as it plops you into this much favoured hot-spot resort.

Porthtowan's Blue Bar beach café and restaurant is a funky, popular venue for coffee culture and good food - with incredible sunsets across the waves.

With an advantageous first floor position, the Cornish countryside views are very appealing from The Loft.

This characterful, rustic flavoured barn conversion, set in a working farm alongside two other holiday homes (Byre Cottage and Trotters) boasts beams, wooden floors and squashy sofas ideal for kicking-back and reclining in.

The open-plan living space is the hub for family and friends to socialise, cook and dine together.

The shared garden is big enough with lawn and patio areas for children and pets to play, with ample garden furniture for picnics and barbecues, set against the glorious rural backdrop.
