Geoff “We had a very friendly welcome with a Cornish cream tea provided!”
Everything we needed was provided and the property was very warm, comfortable and spacious. It is ideally placed for touring West Cornwall and is not too far from Portreath Beach and the expansive Tehidy Woods. The place was very clean and well cared for. Shops and supermarkets are within a reasonable distance. There is a very private garden area with chairs and a table if needed. All on ground floor; please note the narrow path to the entrance makes things difficult for those with walking ...

John “Very comfortable and peaceful, convenient location for visits around Cornwall.”
Very well equipped.
- John, September 2021Simon “This was just a perfect place to stay, the accommodation was perfect, plenty of space and privacy, really well presented with every thing you could possibly need, and absolutely spotlessly clean.”
Combine this with really nice friendly owners and you couldn't ask for more. The location was good too, you are surrounded by lovely places to visit, and the coast is only a few minutes away by car at Portreath park by the beach and enjoy. We would definitely recommend Meadowside, lovely place, great location and really nice people.
- Simon, September 2021Rebecca “The accommodation was central to everywhere and it was cosy and comfortable.”
Apart from the weather (which is out of everyone's hands!) we had a great holiday.
- Rebecca, August 2021Eileen “Lovely stay in the Annex of owners property Spotlessly clean and had everything could possibly need.”
Not much in village itself but only 2 miles to Portreath and very handy for visiting all areas in Cornwall.
- Eileen, May 2021Paul “This holiday accommodation was clean, comfortable and in a quiet location.”
It is on the ground floor but it is part of the owners house and occasionally footsteps and voices could be heard from above. Also it was necessary to walk past two sides of the property on a narrow gravel path to access the entrance door to the holiday property. There are no views from the property except over a neighbours hedge to their garden. Though several miles from the sea the excellent beach at Godrevy is easily accessed as are nearby cliffs for some fine coastal walking, and the property is well located for those wishing to tour west Cornwall. Overall we would recommend the property as offering good accommodation for a reasonable price.
- Paul, September 2020Peter “Meadowside was a fantastic place to stop at.”
It was very comfortable (including a super bed and a powerful shower) It was very central and most of our trips out took less than 30 minutes. We have no hesitation in recommending it, we were very happy staying there.
- Peter, September 2020Kevin “It is the first time we have rented a cottage, and we were very pleasantly surprised with everything about it.”
Welcome was great, cream tea waiting for us. The cottage was exactly as described. Everything you would need was provided. It is 3 miles from our friends, so we will definitely be returning.
- Kevin, February 2020Debbie “Meadowside is exactly as described on the website plus it is well equipped in the kitchen, which includes a fridge and separate freezer.”
The bed was comfortable and there was a choice of duvets from 4.5 tog to 12.5 tog. The owners were friendly and helpful. It is convenient for the coast and the A30. We felt it was like home from home.
