The Cornish Riviera coastline is within a ten minute drive and fabulous Fowey is just six miles away.

In the attractive hamlet of Treesmill close to beaches and fishing villages in St Austell Bay, this stylish bolthole offers spacious accommodation; a mix of farmhouse chic with lofty ceilings, exposed stone walls and characterful beams.

The sitting room is a comfy nook with a generous wood burner - perfect for cooler nights by the fire after hot days on the beach.

The spangly kitchen and utility room has all the mod cons to store and prepare meals, alternatively the foodie pub in Lanlivery is within a mile if you fancy some fresh Cornish fayre.

The reading room on the first floor is a lofty haven with a pitched ceiling (with some height restriction) and Juliet balcony framing splendid rural views.

Elegant bedrooms and two bathrooms complete the interior whilst the enclosed garden with lawn and two steps up to the raised sun terrace make an ideal spot to play, barbecue or enjoy a sun-downer tipple.

Discover the beaches at Pentewan, Par and Porthpean.

Charlestown has a quaint quay and is famed for the historic Tall Ships.

Golfers and ramblers will enjoy the spectacular sea views from the 18 hole course over Carlyon Bay beach and coastal footpath across dramatic cliff tops.

About the location

FOWEY

Eden project 1 mile; Charlestown 3 miles; St Austell 3 miles; Mevagissey 14 miles.

St Blazey is a small town situated 3miles east of St Austell and is nowadays best known for being the closest to the Eden Project, which is a 10 minute drive from the cottage. Nearby Charlestown is a delightful and much sought after coastal village of stone cottages and regency houses. It is famous for its collection of tall ships riding at anchor in the harbour, the shipwreck museum, excellent pubs and restaurants and easy access to the coastal path. More recently it has become famous for the scenes filmed there for the Poldark series. The old market town of St Austell lies just a few miles from the south coast. A short drive will take you to fashionable Fowey, the fishing port of Mevagissey and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. There are also several National Trust gardens and properties within easy reach. With so much to do this is a great year round location.
