The property

Perched right on the water's edge, Tides Reach certainly lives up to its name.

This beautifully presented town house overlooks a tidal creek off the Penryn River and Carrick Roads; a wide waterway offering superb sailing waters and pleasure boating opportunities.

Formerly the abode of merchant sailors, this prestigious modern development is on the edge of Penryn, an historic market town bordering Falmouth.

The local area has a relaxed vibe with cafes and pubs on the water's edge and a good range of local facilities.

Within 10 minutes walk you can hop on a water taxi into the centre of Falmouth.

This vibrant town has an eclectic mix of shops, one off boutiques, restaurants, cafes and olde worlde pubs.

There are two sandy beaches in the town; Gyllyngvase which is one of six with blue flag status in Cornwall and Swanpool, both of which have a good cafe /restaurant overlooking the sands.

Just a few miles south of Falmouth and Penryn is The Helford River with hidden creeks, ancient woodland and pretty villages making for a real swallows and amazon experience.

Boat trips are a must and with regular departures from both Falmouth and Helford Passage, a sleepy village on the banks of the river, there are plenty of options.

Tides Reach is arranged over three storeys with views of the water from most rooms.

The open plan living room on the ground floor has a dining area at one end and French windows at the other leading onto the terrace on the water's edge (Please be careful with young children due to the proximity to and unprotected edge of the river).

This is the place to relax with a cool drink and fish and chips from one of the local take away restaurants.

Over three floors. Three bedrooms: 1 x twin. 1 x single. 1 x king-size with ensuite shower, basin and WC. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Kitchen. Sitting room with dining area.

Falmouth 1 mile; Truro 9 miles.

One of the oldest market towns in Cornwall, the pretty port of Penryn boasts a wealth of historic architecture and harbour heritage with attractive granite buildings steeply sloping along the cobbled streets down to the sea. There’s a good choice of restaurants, cafes and pubs in the town, along with a museum offering free entry, and the tranquil Enys Gardens on the outskirts of the town, providing a range of grounds and a peaceful haven. Further along the Penryn River, just one mile towards the sea you’ll find the famous seaport of Falmouth, with a host of things to keep you entertained including harbour-side pubs and eateries offering spectacular views, stunning Blue Flag beaches and a bustling town centre. Visit the National Maritime Museum for a taste of Cornwall’s sea-faring history, or the fine Tudor fortress of Pendennis Castle, superb set gazing out to sea. You don’t have to venture far from Penryn to discover Cornwall’s many sights, delights and stunning coastline, and this is the perfect character base from which to see it all.
