The property

This riverside townhouse in a prestigious modern development on the edge of Penryn has a terrace to the water and sits within a 10 minute walk to the water-taxi into Falmouth resort.

Set over three floors, it boasts river views from most rooms and makes a super retreat for family and friends.

The ground floor has a spacious sitting room with dining area and separate kitchen.

The first floor has a twin and single bedroom plus a family bathroom.

The second floor has a king-size bedroom with an ensuite shower room.

French windows from the sitting room lead onto the terrace on the water's edge.

This is the place to relax with a cool drink and fish and chips from one of the local take away restaurants.

The local area has a relaxed vibe with cafes and pubs on the water's edge and a good range of local facilities.

Falmouth has an eclectic mix of shops, one off boutiques, restaurants, cafes and olde worlde pubs.

There are two sandy beaches in the town; Gyllyngvase which is one of six with blue flag status in Cornwall and Swanpool, both of which have a good cafe /restaurant overlooking the sands.

Just a few miles south of Falmouth and Penryn is The Helford River with hidden creeks, ancient woodland and pretty villages making for a real swallows and amazon experience.

Boat trips are a must and with regular departures from both Falmouth and Helford Passage, a sleepy village on the banks of the river, there are plenty of options.

All in all, Tides Reach is a popular venue for both relaxation and recreation.

About the location

Falmouth 1 mile; Truro 9 miles.

One of the oldest market towns in Cornwall, the pretty port of Penryn boasts a wealth of historic architecture and harbour heritage with attractive granite buildings steeply sloping along the cobbled streets down to the sea. There’s a good choice of restaurants, cafes and pubs in the town, along with a museum offering free entry, and the tranquil Enys Gardens on the outskirts of the town, providing a range of grounds and a peaceful haven. Further along the Penryn River, just one mile towards the sea you’ll find the famous seaport of Falmouth, with a host of things to keep you entertained including harbour-side pubs and eateries offering spectacular views, stunning Blue Flag beaches and a bustling town centre. Visit the National Maritime Museum for a taste of Cornwall’s sea-faring history, or the fine Tudor fortress of Pendennis Castle, superb set gazing out to sea. You don’t have to venture far from Penryn to discover Cornwall’s many sights, delights and stunning coastline, and this is the perfect character base from which to see it all.
