The property

A true hideaway, this bolthole sits close to Cornwall's north coast amid mellow countryside and is the perfect base for those seeking pure escapism.

Head along winding country lanes and off the beaten track to arrive at this unique setting.

Situated just three miles from Perranporth and eight miles from St Agnes, Little Hendra escapes the crowds with its serene countryside setting in the peaceful hamlet of Treamble.

Tucked away at the end of a private no-through road and surrounded by open farmland, it offers guests a very high degree of privacy and the chance to relax and appreciate life's simple pleasures.

Big and detached, this old farmhouse has been sensitively extended to include four bedrooms for up to seven guests.

Instantly relaxing, interiors are uber smart, comfortable and bathed in natural light.

The farmhouse kitchen dining room is the social hub, all cosy with a stove for cooking your pickings from the local farm shop.

Curl up beside the glow of the wood burner in the sitting room with a book from shelf.

Retire to tranquil bedrooms and be sure of a good nights' sleep with no traffic noise and seriously comfy beds.

Practical for groups, there is an en-suite shower room plus a bathroom with a deep bath tub for post-ramble soaks.

Bask in the peace on the deck in the sheltered and private sun-trap garden complete with a small pond (children must be supervised).

There is also a lawn garden at the rear which children will love.

When you ready to explore the surrounding area you will find plenty of attractions nearby.

The large tract of sandy beach and South West Coast Path at Perranporth is a 10 minute drive.

A mecca for surfers, swimmers and sunbathers, the beach operates a life-guard service during the summer months and pets are permitted year round!

For a wider choice of beaches head to St Agnes, St Ives, Newquay and Watergate Bay and, for children, there is The Blue Reef Aquarium, Dairy Land Farm World, Newquay Zoo, Springfields Park and Pony Centre and Crealy Adventure Park all within easy driving reach.

About the location

Newquay 9 miles; Truro 9.5 miles.

Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of the rich heritage with abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. The local Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit to understand the fascinating history of this coastal area. Further afield are the miles of sandy beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay, and the breathtaking coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust. A perfect holiday base in Cornwall, with an abundance of activities to suit everyone.

Note: Max 6 adults and 2 children.
