    “Absolutely loved staying in this cottage .”

    A perfect base to explore the South West Coast to places like Marazion , Penzance , Pra Sands and Porthleven. We really couldn’t fault this little gem of a place and if we were to find fault it was only the fact that we both would have liked two sofas to stretch our legs after a day of walking . By no means is this a criticism , It’s just our personal preference we look for in accommodation as we both can’t sit for periods of time due to back problems so have to lie down in the evenings ...

By no means is this a criticism , It’s just our personal preference we look for in accommodation as we both can’t sit for periods of time due to back problems so have to lie down in the evenings . However, having said this we were aware from the photos that there was a small 2 seater sofa and a small chair/sofa but we thought we would give it a go.

The property

Marazion 1.6 miles. A charming getaway awaits you at Kernyk Cottage, a characterful terrace cottage resting amidst the idyllic village of Perranuthnoe that lies between the charming town of Marazion and the golden sands of Praa Sands. Within striking distance of a glorious beach, as well as the famous South West Coastal Path, it makes an exceptional base for a holiday with your partner or for a small family. Kernyk’s front has recently been lime-rendered back to its original charm.

Entering through the front door into a newly refurbished open-plan lounge and dining area, tastefully decorated in a modern, yet cottagey feel.

The living room has a working wood fireplace and brand new radiators keep the cottage warm through cooler seasons. The dining area has a new kitchen with sliding patio doors allowing easy access to a quiet and sheltered sun trap to the rear, perfect for alfresco dining or just relaxing with good company and a glass (or two) of wine. Sleep is sure to come easy in the master bedroom, with its king size bed, made up with white linen sheets. The single bedroom offers a comfortable space for an additional guest to catch their rest. The cottage is located in the secluded village of Perranuthnoe, with the Victoria Inn (one of Cornwall’s oldest inns) a mere 100 yards from the front door.

A stroll down towards the beach, you will pass an art gallery and gift shop, the Peppercorn Café and the well frequented Cabin beach café. Perranuthnoe has access to the South West Coastal Path with the immediate coast an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Views of St Michael’s Mount are a short, easy walk to the west, with Cudden Point and Prussia Cove to the east.

Located inland between Penzance and Praa Sands, Rosudgeon is a small, semirural village set close to the coast of this charming corner of Cornwall. Situated one mile from the popular South West Coast Path, Rosudgeon is an ideal base for walkers, beach lovers, and those wishing to uncover the wealth of Cornwall's historic and artistic heritage. Rosudgeon has a convenient village store and a pub, which is well known for its locally-sourced food, whilst just two miles away is the beautiful St Michael’s Mount, standing proud in the bay.
