Just over a mile from Coverack Cove, and ideally placed for exploring the Lizard Peninsula and Helford River, this detached cottage occupies a peaceful spot amidst open fields in the hamlet of Ponsongath.
Guests will enjoy the walk to the Coverack village which has a charming beach and little harbour with some fabulous cafes, and a great pub; The Paris Inn.
The shoreline is ideal for young children with rock pools and shallow waters and the nearest beach with RNLI life guard is Kennack Sands which is a family favourite.
The National Trust has many protected sites nearby and the cafe at Kynance Cove is most definitely worth a visit as are the beaches around Gunwalloe, and the fishing cove of Cadgwith.
Within easy reach by car is the market town of Helston with many shops and supermarkets, as well as the lovely town centre, port and beaches of Falmouth.
Little Treleaver Cottage has a lovely feel, and has only one close neighbour.
On the ground floor it has a smartly furnished dining room with oak floors; practical for children.
There is an open plan kitchen and dining area which are spacious and well equipped.
The musically orientated will appreciate the piano.
The separate living room with wood burner provides plenty of comfort, with a door which leads to the patio and gardens.
The ground floor master bedroom with en-suite shower room is conveniently accessed from the living room.
A large family bathroom sits off the entrance hall.
Upstairs there is a bunk room with 4' lower bed and a bedroom with 5' bed plus a separate WC.
The rooms are warmly decorated and spacious.
Guests will enjoy the open garden and hedgerows and the feeling of being in a countryside location with whispers of the sea in the dead of night.

Coverack is a small fishing village on the Lizard Peninsula, a few miles from Lizard Point in Cornwall, the most southerly point on mainland Britain. Coverack is a beautiful and peaceful place to escape the main tourist routes and offers a beach in the sheltered bay, which is ideal for swimming, windsurfing and kayaking, as well as shops, a Post Office, pub and restaurants. The Lizard Peninsula is a large area of spectacular coves and beaches and is noted for its rare geology and plants. From Lizard Point there are wonderful sea views from the windswept cliffs, which provide fabulous walking opportunities along this stretch of the South West Coast Path. Inland is the market town of Helston, known for its Flora Day Festival, and in Gweek is The Cornish Seal Sanctuary. Flambards theme park is just 20 minutes' drive away and just over ten miles away is the Culdrose Airfield, where once a year the public are welcome to come and meet the Fleet Air Arm, the Royal Navy’s flying force. Coverack is ideally located for exploring The Lizard Peninsula, as well as the lovely seaside towns of St Ives and Falmouth and many other beaches and pretty villages.
