The property

The perfect retreat for those seeking tranquillity, Chy Kembro is a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday modern life.

An immaculately presented dormer bungalow in the heart of Porthallow village, this property makes the most of its location with a first floor lounge affording views down to the cove – a great place to sit and watch the winter storms by the warmth of the cosy stove.

See how many boats you can spot out to sea from the window-seat telescope.

Also on the first floor is a luxurious super king master bedroom with plenty of storage and a rocking chair with a view.

Downstairs, a large and well-equipped designer kitchen/diner leads through to a second sitting area and a lovely bright conservatory, which offers a fantastic spot for sunshine breakfasts and leads directly out into the garden.

There are a further two bedrooms on the ground floor.

Outside, there are enclosed lawned gardens to the front and rear of the property; the latter colourfully decorated with a seaside-themed mural and various different plant pots, as well as a picnic bench with parasol.

The pebble beach in Porthallow cove is a two-minute walk from Chy Kembro – a popular spot for kayaking and fishing.

Set just back from the beach, the dog-friendly Five Pilchards Inn is a friendly, traditional pub with a home-cooked menu.

The South Helford and Lizard Peninsula is a beautiful region, with an abundance of coastal walks, hidden coves and tiny waterside villages.

A holiday here is a true escape, perfect for ramblers and their four-legged best friends.

Along the coast, to the north, is Gillan Creek and the Helford River, and to the south is the village of Porthoustock, and offshore The Manacles, a great hazard to shipping and a popular diving site for shipwrecks.
