I don’t write reviews and this is the first one I have ever done as I felt the need share what a great place this is. This place was fantastic and really has everything you would ever need for a family holiday, every detail has been thought out by Len the owner from nice little touches when you arrive like Cornish tea, scones and a nice cold Cornish lager in the fridge to having cool bags, body boards, and parasol you can take to the beach. The facilities are second to none and has everything you would ever need! I think it is better equipped than my own home:-). The location is excellent and only a 5/10 minutes walk to the beach or if you jump in the car there are a number of different beaches that are only 15 minutes drive away(these were recommended by Len the owner when we arrived) our boys 3&5 had a brilliant time digging holes on the beach, jumping the waves and exploring the caves. Communication with the owner Len was great before and during the holiday which makes the whole experience a lot easier. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and families.

About the location
Truro 14 miles; St Ives 15 miles.
With its sheltered harbour, beautiful Portreath was, in the 1800s, a hive of activity and industry as a major tin-exporting port. Today, the village attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese restaurant, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 14 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives. A delightful holiday location.
