“Needs a blind on the upstairs bathroom window.”

When you stand up in the bath to get in and out you can be seen by the house below from their back windows.

When you stand up in the bath to get in and out you can be seen by the house below from their back windows. Also a major issue with the drainage in the upstairs shower. The drainage pipe needs cleaning as it causes the water to build up in the bottom of the shower. Which means you can't take too long a shower through fear of the water overflowing onto the bathroom floor. This was quite an issue really. Apart from that all was fine.

The property

Nestled on the stunning seafront of Praa Sands, resting in an elevated position to enjoy the remarkable views of the Cornish coast, is this three-bedroom, detached house, Sunwave.

This seaside home benefits from two balconies, ideal for soaking in the magnificent sights, as well as a well-appointed interior, making this the idyllic hideaway for a family of six.

Park up outside with two off-road spaces to choose from before drawing in a breath of sea-air.

A handful of steps will guide you to the enclosed front garden, home to lawned areas and lovely shrubbery, as well as a patio where you can unwind on outdoor furniture and grill tasty snacks on the barbecue.

Step inside to discover the beautifully presented sitting/dining room with dashes of aqua blue to accentuate the coastal location, lounge on the sofa and watch the Smart TV to escape reality for an hour or two.

There is a dining table, seating six where you can gather around to play a traditional board game and tuck-into home-cooked meals.

Dinner can be prepared in the kitchen, with an electric oven and hob to rustle up a delicious meal, as well as a washer, tumble dryer and dishwasher to help with the cleaning.

When the sky grows dark, climb upstairs to the first-floor to relish in a soak amongst the bubbles in a warming bath or rinse away any lingering sand in the walk-in shower.

The first-floor also hosts a double with king-size bed and a twin bedroom (can be super-king-size bed on request), each offering a balcony to admire the rugged coastline and great storage space to unload your belongings.

Back on the ground-floor rests a twin bedroom with its own en-suite shower room.

When you awake, take advantage of the excellent location with a short stroll to Praa Sands Beach, hit the big waves or build up sandcastles; within easy reach is Pengersick Castle, where you can unveil the past on a unique tour.

A scenic drive will lead you to the captivating fishing village of Porthleven, absorb thrilling views of the The Lizard when walking along the coastal path and enjoy an abundance of outstanding eateries, where you can see the boats on the harbour bobbing on the water.

Visit the vibrant town of Helston, travel back in time at the museum, be amazed by the stunning architecture of Grylls Monument or reward the younger ones with a thrilling day at Flambards Theme Park, with a wealth of fast rides to choose from.

For an unforgettable holiday with your loved ones, stay at Sunwave.

About the location

Marazion 4.5 miles ; Helston 6 miles ; Porthleven 5 miles

The village of Praa Sands sits on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. Praa Sands is known for its mile-long sandy beach and excellent surfing conditions. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach – the perfect spot for lunch with a view or sunset drinks. Praa Sands is also home to a Golf and Country Club, from where the most wonderful sea vista can be enjoyed whilst you play. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle, the tower of which dates back to the 16th century. It is said that Pengersick is haunted, and that the ghost of a monk has been seen wandering the grounds! The house at Pengersick is rumoured to be the birth place of John Carter, the self styled King of Prussia and a tunnel which leads from the house to the beach was apparently once used by smugglers. There are supermarkets and other retail stores in Penzance (8 miles) and Helston (6 miles).

Note: Building work is being undertaken on a neighbouring property. Please contact us for further information.

Note: Dogs are not allowed on Praa Sands Beach from the 1st July through to the 31st August between the hours of 10am and 6pm daily.
