The property

The residence of a prominent aristocratic family for five centuries, The Clowance Estate and Country Club is one of Cornwall's most prestigious and unique holiday destinations.

Located between the beloved coastal resort of St Ives and the charismatic fishing village of Porthleven, the estate with its historic manor house occupies 97 acres of stunning parklands and woodlands and offers unlimited access to extensive leisure facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool and a 9 hole golf course.

Designed for all ages and for all weathers, Woodland View is an excellent venue for fun-seeking families. Children love The Clowance Estate and its outdoor play area, boating facilities on the lake, a woodland nature trail, tree house, outdoor giant chess/draughts and an kids activities programme during school breaks.

Parents are well catered for too with the chance to re-energise in the sauna, Jacuzzi or perhaps indulge with a treatment in the spa (additional fee).

For fitness enthusiasts, there is a gymnasium and outdoor tennis, badminton and basketball (additional fee for equipment hire) as well as indoor table tennis and pool table. This beautiful landscape is a haven for wildlife, attracting birds, hedgehogs, foxes and the occasional badger.

Step inside and discover a spacious and well appointed interior with glazed doors to a patio and balcony with leafy views to bring the outside in.

There is a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a kitchen dining room on the ground floor however if you do not fancy cooking try the the bar and restaurant which serves excellent food and extend your evening for a late night cabaret and cocktail or two.

Head upstairs to a large sitting room with a double fold-up bed with linen to add flexibility, a family bathroom and a master bedroom with a door to a small bedroom furnished with bunk beds. You do not have to travel far from this secluded spot to experience the best the county has to offer.

St Ives with its world class beaches, the iconic landmark attractions at Land's End, Eden Project, The Minack Theatre and St Michael's Mount and the stunning gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan which tumble down to the banks of the Helford River are all within easy reach and ensure a varied and memorable holiday experience.

Tucked away in the countryside between Camborne and Helston, the friendly little village of Praze an Beeble has a real sense of community. With a traditional Cornish pub, a Post Office, bakery, fish & chip shop and a garage, Praze (as it is known locally) has everything you could need. The village green is the hub of the community, and many family friendly events take place here each year. Just outside the village, the Clowance Estate country club with holiday lodges offers pleasant lakeside and woodland walks – and the sandy beaches of Portreath, Gwithian and Hayle are just a short drive away. Easily accessible from Praze an Beeble is the old market town of Helston with its boating lake and annual Flora Day – and from Helston, the much-loved harbour town of Porthleven is just a 5-minute drive.
