As it says in the listed details, the back steps are extremely steep, making the back patio redundant, as a dog walker, I thought from the pictures it would easy to walk through the woods, it wasn't so. You need a torch for nightime as walking back from the local pubs is very dark as no streetlights. A coat rack is upstairs? none down stairs, which means wet coats are hung over the dining furniture/radiators. Under the stairs would be an ideal place! We managed a trip to Boscastle & Tintagle on the North coast, approx 35 miles/hours drive, Beachward holiday home is a good base to go exploring all that Cornwall has to offer.

The back was disappointing as 3 very small levels that were unsuitable for kids to play. However the overall area was great an unexpected basketball court in the village and the house had lots of details of takeaways and days out in the area. The mix up in cleaners losing another hour of our stay was not good.

2) Electric shower wasn’t working, but was fixed within 2 days of complaint. 3) upper terrace and bbq area was way steeper than it said in the details, not really usable - could have done with the bbq at the front patio. 4) front patio very uneven especially for an elderly lady. 5) very clean on arrival and nice welcome package.

Super welcome with scones and jam and cream and flowers on the table. Nice touch of dishwasher tablets/washing machine tablets/washing up liquid etc left for us. Plenty of seating. Kitchen really well equipped and bathrooms more than adequate and very clean. Enough space for everyone (two couples, one baby one older lady and three small dogs!) Beds very comfortable with nice quality linen and towels. The patios at the back were lovely but only accessed by very steep uneven stone steps which meant my elderly mum could not get up there. The patio at the front was great for her though very uneven. It did not matter to the rest of us but it would have been good to have somewhere easier for her to navigate or to have known in advance The town is great with good pub, restaurant and beach cafe so plenty of walkable options. Beach and nature trail very good for the dogs. I would happily stay there again in this house, it was excellent value for money

It was nice having the essentials waiting for us (tea, coffee, milk, sugar) plus a cream tea and beautiful flowers. Would definitely book again. Not really a problem but if you have a dog garden not secure.

Only 5 miles from Looe and Polperro just 10 miles along the coast to the west or eastwards to Freathy Cliffs and Rame Head, superb walking along the coastal path and dramatic seascapes await.
Visit the period houses of St Anthony, Cotele and Mount Edgecumbe Country Park, all lie in the hinterland of the Tamar.
As a change from sea and sand walk the trails of Seaton nature reserve where the river flows down to the sea and enjoy peaceful woodland picnics or let children play in the adventure playground.

The seaside town of Seaton is at the mouth of the River Seaton in Cornwall and you will find a family friendly south facing beach and the nearby Seaton Valley Countryside Park and Nature reserve is home to wildlife, including otters and kingfishers and also offers great cycling and walking opportunities. The picturesque working harbours at Looe and Polperro are within an easy driving distance away, and the wonderful stretches of the South West Coast Path in this part of Cornwall take you to rocky coves, dramatic headlands and tales of shipwrecks and smugglers. Further afield is Plymouth, where you will find plenty to see and do, including a marine aquarium, a theatre, large shopping centres and the historic Barbican waterside area.
Note: The garden is arranged in a terrace at this property, there are three flights of steps to negotiate to get to the back patio, children need to be supervised and consideration should be given to the accessibility. There is a front patio with easy access. Note: Check in time for this property is 4pm.
