Floor in living room felt sticky I had to wash the floor with a dirty mop that was provided and there was broken glass under the sofa.. Sadly, the overall experience did not warrant the premium payment of £3180 for one week , for this price it should have been outstanding. Very disappointing.

Many thanks for your feedback. We greatly appreciate you providing this so we can continually improve the experience for future guests. We are sorry that things were not as expected for your stay. You are absolutely correct, it is not a cheap holiday so it is always our aim to make the house perfect for each stay to provide excellent value in a beautiful setting. Occasionally and unfortunately issues are not picked up by our diligent team and we apologise for that, however the housekeeping service is excellent and is always available to assist for those occasions where problems with the house arise. The majority of the issues you raised would have been rectified same day for you had you contacted housekeeping (one of the benefits of booking through Sykes/Cornish Cottage Holidays). Since you wrote this review confirm the majority of these issues have been fixed and a couple are imminent such as the bathroom mirror that needs replacing. With regard to the pillows, they are like that deliberately, there is one thicker firmer one and one thinner softer one as peoples tastes are different with regards to these. Also, we are confused re your comments on the sofas as they are high quality leather sofas and relatively new. If reference is made in relation to the shine, can confirm that is by design and not fault. Would also advise that they were selected with a back high enough to provide good support and a base firm yet not hard. The whole family took part in the selection process so decision was made by a range of ages, sizes and weights. These sofas were the clear winners. We are truly sorry that your week was not up to par, we aspire to make the experience so good that all of our guests wish to visit Sea Scape again like many of our previous guests have in the short time that we have been operating. About the location

SENNEN

Land’s End 1 mile; St Just 5 miles; Penzance 9 miles.

The most westerly village in mainland Britain, Sennen has a lovely mile-long beach of pure white sand and is a very popular holiday destination. With excellent surfing conditions, the village has its own surf school – overlooked by a super-cool beach bar/restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows which make the most of the wonderful views. Once a hub of smuggling activity, Sennen still retains many secret passages – one of which is said to lead to the covered well in the Old Success Inn. Largely unchanged over time, this lovely village has a timeless appeal and is home to a gallery, a medieval church, an Iron Age fort and a small selection of shops where you can buy beachware, gifts and souvenirs, and a range of groceries. There is also a weekly Farmers’ Market in the village Community Centre each Tuesday morning. During the summer, the beach bar becomes a hub of activity and entertainment, with live music, weekly barbecues and popular surfing competitions.
