“The Lodge was clean and nicely presented and very spacious so fit the 5 of us comfortably, the on site pub was nice and we loved being able to use the pool and parks on site.”
It was nice that they let us know as soon as the property was ready which was about 3 hours before the check in time, we had arrived slightly early anyway so had just stopped in the village to have a drink whilst we waited.
The Donkey Sactuary is within walking distance and is well worth a visit as there's loads to see and do there for younger children, having a large indoor soft play area. You're pretty central for visiting most places in Cornwall. We took our dog who loved it and found that Rock beach was the nicest dog beach in the area. I had seen comments made about the hot water, however, I found that if we put the boost on 30 minutes or so before we ran the bath and just let it fill up with hot water until it ran out and then added cold until it was the right temperature the bath was about half full which is more than enough for our daughter who doesn't particularly like showers.
We had a small issue with the WiFi when we arrived but that was sorted out on the Monday morning and it worked perfectly at a good speed for the rest of the week.
I would say make sure you read the listing you do need to take your own tea towels, there's a site shop but Tesco, Co op, Lidl and Home bargains are all close enough to drive to and have a better selection for things like toilet roll/kitchen roll/washing up liquid .. those every day essentials you don't really fancy packing.
