“Lowena was in a great position to explore .”

. well equipped.. very comfy bed .. we were disappointed to find only 1 heater for the downstairs and only a heated towel rail in the bathroom and bedroom heaters .. we were quite cold and had to use the heaters all the time to stay comfortable.. which wasn’t recommended in the details .. the weather wasn’t great in early March .. otherwise a good stay

The property

Lowena is one of ten cottages constructed around 1860 in St Just, just a short walk from the stunning Cornish coast, and is close to many of Cornwall's finest treks and tourism destinations.

Lowena, which means "joy to you" in Cornish, was originally built as a tin miner's cottage and retains its individuality with its stone walls and woodburner, which is ideal for relaxing by after a day visiting Sennen Cove or Marazion.

The galley kitchen is well-equipped with all of your culinary necessities.

Climb the carpeted open-tread stairs to the first level from the living room; the stairwell leads to the master double bedroom (the bed room's sleeping space is separated by a curtain).

Beyond the bedroom is a large tiled family bathroom.

The door at the top of the stairs leads into the twin room, which has a relaxing colour scheme and lovely views of the sea and countryside.

The kitchen has access to the paved yard at the back of the house, where you may cool off with a refreshing beverage during the warmer months.

There is roadside parking in front of the property, and the town's facilities are just a short walk away.

Spend the day touring Land's End, Britain's most south-westerly point and one of the country's most iconic locations.

Take in the breathtaking view and breathe in the fresh seaside air as you pose for a snapshot with your family and friends by the iconic signpost.

Further out, Penzance has Penlee House, an art and history museum, Trengwainton Garden, Mount's Bay, and much more!

Lowena is an excellent retreat with lots to offer.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £150.

About the location

ST JUST

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.

Note: Pets are restricted to the ground floor at this property.
