“Millers Cottage is remote and difficult to drive in and out of the area.”

There is no wifi or mobile phone signal in the cottage, you can pick up a, weak, signal if you go outside to the railway halt about 50m away, however, this is not secure and many websites won’t give full access. The area by the cottage door is overgrown and unattended. The area outside of the dining area window is disgraceful, it needs totally clearing. The area by the cottage door is overgrown and unattended. The area outside of the dining area window is disgraceful, it needs totally clearing. The patio with a table and two chairs and some neglected pot plants needs a good cleaning. The outside of the windows needed cleaning, the kitchen worktops were mostly “sticky” although chopping boards were good and it was well equipped. The bed and bathroom was good, although the floor is incredibly creaky and noisy. It’s not a property we would return to but some people may like the remoteness.

I am terribly sorry to learn that you have not enjoyed your stay with us. I am somewhat perplexed by some of your comments referring the signal in the area as this has not been an issue for previous guests, perhaps it may a service provider fault? We do not advertise that the property specifically has WiFi but you can connect to the local hotspot close by. Please be assured all areas of the the rental are maintained thoroughly, apologies about the little overgrowth, this will be tended to as my strimmer was out of use recently. In terms of your comments about the flooring, the property is relatively old, the floor may creek due to it's age. Rest assured, the property is very close-by to the railway station and roughly 1 mile from a B road connecting to the Liskeard Town centre. Thank you very much for your comments and for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. Customer feedback is very important to help us continually improve our standards. Owner relations

The property

Miller's Lodge is a stone-built former hay barn set in the gorgeous Looe Valley in East Cornwall.

With spacious accommodation and the wonders of Cornwall close at hand, it is a splendid place for a romantic break away from it all.

The ground floor is occupied by a refreshing open-plan living room, where you can take a seat on the snug sofa with the warmth of the electric fire and a favourite film on the TV.

The kitchen area is amply equipped and finished with splendid wooden units to give off a real sense of charm and style.

Retire to the first floor at the end of each day, complete with a double bed and charming features to ensure a peaceful spot to get your well-earned rest.

A lovely shower room completes the interior of Miller's Lodge.

Make the most of the excellent private patio to the back of the property; perhaps enjoy an alfresco meal among the fresh countryside air.

For a fine selection of amenities, the market town of Liskeard is just three miles away which also hosts its own museum.

The coastal town of Looe is certainly worth a day trip as it offers a glorious beach, amusement arcade and much more.

A superbly located cottage for exploring East Cornwall.
