The property

Bolitho's Retreat is less than 3 miles from the banks of the Helford River and the pretty village of Helford.

Surrounded by picturesque countryside and creekside woodlands this property is set in the peaceful hamlet of St Martin. Bolitho's Retreat is a beautifully presented detached residence nestled discreetly amid local life.

This former sail loft has been transformed with immense flair, creating an interior design that is elegant yet casual, creating an eclectic country style that is fresh and en-vogue.

It is a top pick for a romantic break and a destination where couples can spend carefree days exploring the scenic footpaths, riverside taverns, quiet beaches and hidden creeks along the Helford River.

Those who take to the water on the passenger ferry (operates 1st Apr-31st Oct) can explore the sub-tropical gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan, the pretty fishing village of Durgan or the romantic and mystical Frenchman's Creek.

Carne Creek and the ancient church, shingle beach and boat hire at St Anthony in Meneage is close by and the maritime town of Falmouth, the cathedral city of Truro and the hidden coves and beaches of the Lizard Peninsula are all within easy reach and present opportunities to enjoy a varied holiday experience. Generously proportioned for two, Bolitho's Retreat is a wonderful retreat to return to after memorable days out.

The curtains, cushions, rugs, ornaments and artwork are a festival of colour and interest against the neutral decor and heavy classic furniture.

The living room features solid oak flooring and a comfy sofa, whilst up the stairs is the very spacious bedroom complete with sumptuous king size bed.

The enclosed decked patio is a glorious spot to sit and relax with a book or board game provided at the property.

There is off-road parking for two cars.
