“Very clean, spacious and well equipped accommodation in a very quiet location.”
Despite the warm weather, the rooms were cool - no doubt thanks to the very thick stone walls!!! The beds were very comfortable too. I'd highly recommend staying here.
Despite the warm weather, the rooms were cool - no doubt thanks to the very thick stone walls!!! The beds were very comfortable too. I'd highly recommend staying here. The only negative thing is that the 'enclosed garden' isn't secure. Our dog escaped a few times and had to be kept on a lead all week. Next door's dog also nipped through the hedge and used our garden as a toilet.
“Cottage was as stated, was very pleasant comfortable and owners were very helpful.”
The only extra that I would like would be a sharp knife, as using a glass block will blunt sharp knives very quickly, so could we please either a sharp knife or a wooden/plastic block. Would like to book again for later in the year when I have arranged time.
“The Croft was excellent.”
It’s location for exploring the area was ideal. We had our dog with us and having a totally secure garden and exercise field allowed him freedom. The owners welcome scones, jam and cream didn’t last long! We would definitely stay again.
“All our experiences in the past have been very good with Sykes so we expected it to be good and it was.”
Hence you met our expectations. Perhaps a re think of the question above is needed.
The owners could consider putting some children's outdoor play such as a swing/slide in the field. This is just a suggestion - the lack of this wasn't a problem for us.
