    “I would not under any circumstances recommend this house.”

    When we arrived the house was absolutely filthy and having two young children this was very concerning. Shower dirty, kitchen dirty, toilet dirty, dirty towel left on bedroom door from previous guests, mirror in one of the double bedrooms broken, I could go on it was so bad! We reported the cleaning issues to the house manager and she sent the cleaners out and also left a bottle of wine (which I did not ask for, I made it clear I didn’t want anything just for the house to be clean which I ...

We reported the cleaning issues to the house manager and she sent the cleaners out and also left a bottle of wine (which I did not ask for, I made it clear I didn’t want anything just for the house to be clean which I feel is a reasonable expectation. We also reported the upstairs toilet not flushing. We have now returned from this property to be accused of stealing items and leaving it untidy and dirty. We left the house clean and tidy and in my opinion better than how it was left for us. Don’t stay here unless you want be called a thief and a liar. Clearly they need to use better cleaners at this property! Completely unacceptable.

The property

TINTAGEL

Camelford 5.9 miles; Wadebridge 13 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the South West Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and within a short distance is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary and Port Isaac are all within a short but scenic drive.
