The property

Escape to Miner's Rest, a wonderfully appointed, character cottage located near the fabulous sweep of the north Cornish coastline, in the delightful village of Troon.

With a traditional, stone-built exterior, yet beautifully modern décor and furnishings inside, this homely dwelling is ideal for a family of four or group of friends looking for something different.

The open-plan living room boasts slate floors, a well-appointed kitchen and a dining area, as well as cosy bean bag chairs, which you can take outside on a balmy afternoon to enjoy the sunshine.

Choose to spend your down time in the sitting room and wrap yourselves around the woodburning stove during the colder months as you play a board game at the coffee table or watch TV together.

The first floor plays host to a lovely set of bedrooms comprising a king-size and a twin (zip/link super king), served by a spacious family bathroom, which is well-appointed for long hot showers or a deep soak in the bath tub.

On a warm, summer's day, throw open the bi-folding doors from the living room and make the most of your enclosed garden, perfect for letting the dog out and enjoying a drink with your loved ones as the barbecue sizzles away.

Explore this wonderful area, boasting some handy amenities close by, including pubs and shops, fabulous walking opportunities along the South West Coast Path and many attractions to entertain the whole group.

Within a short drive you can brush up on the local history by visiting the ruins of Carn Brea Castle or the Bassett Monument.

Spend a day uncovering the wonders of St. Ives, with its attractive fishing harbour, Tate art museum, Sculpture Garden, winding streets filled with shops and award-wining restaurants and the sandy Porthmeor beach which is known for its outstanding surf conditions.

Alternatively, head over to Land's End, either on foot, bike or by car and take in the marvellous views from the First and Last Point and keep an eye out for a selection of rare birds and other wildlife.

A charming retreat to be enjoyed at any time of the year.
