“Whilst the property is lovely and finished to a high standard, cleanliness lets it down, it needs a thorough deep clean.”

There was no way to request a travel cot before arrival, the app doesn’t provide the option and despite adding an infant to the booking there was no cot set up, luckily we took our own. The stair gates weren’t complete, they were difficult to install and unreliable, would highly recommend replacing with the type that roll away. The stair gates weren’t complete, they were difficult to install and unreliable, would highly recommend replacing with the type that roll away. Overall cleanliness was poor, dirty mirrors, evidence of animal hair/dust/debris around the edges of the bedroom, dusty skirting boards, cobwebs in all the skylight windows, it needed a seriously good hoover, filters in the vacuum need a good clean too! Fridge needs a filter change (visible bacteria growth around water dispenser), kettle needs cleaning, dishwasher not washing properly even on the intensive program things came out dirty (does anyone clean the filters?), all little things that add to the overall picture of hygiene. Things we liked: good coffee machine, lots of kitchen utensils, high chair, comfortable sofa, bbq, wood burner, effective heating, no damp at all., owner was communicative when we reached out. Things we didn’t like: no parking, bedsheets (polyester feels awful to sleep in), overall cleanliness, dangerously hot towel radiator with no control to adjust, stair gates not fit for purpose.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed the property. Had we been made aware of the issues you have raised during your stay, we would have done our very best to rectify them for you during your stay . We could have arranged for our housekeeper to attend the property, to address any cleanliness issues and to assemble the cot for you. We will discuss your comments with our housekeeper. The stairgates, do need to be looked at, the wooden blocks to secure them have been knocked off, so we will look into this. The hoover has now been replaced with a new one. It does state on the website that parking is on street parking, so this will be subject to availability and on a first come first served basis. The bed sheets are polycotton sheets and we have not received any complaints from any previous guests. Property Owner
