“Only stayed 1 night.”

Left and went home. Starting with the pros. It was clean apart from the balcony which could have done with a sweep and the bird muck brushing off. The bathroom shower was nice and hot. The owners had left blankets for your pet to put on the sofa if needed which was a nice touch and the eco guest pack was good. The cons, the 2 flights of stairs up to the apartment are very narrow and steep. Unfortunately not suitable for my dog really. I also wasn't very keen on the apartment door as it's keypad ...

The cons, the 2 flights of stairs up to the apartment are very narrow and steep. Unfortunately not suitable for my dog really. I also wasn't very keen on the apartment door as it's keypad entry and whilst a key is provided to get in if you prefer, there is no way of locking the door from the inside so I didn't feel 100% safe to be honest There's no hooks I could find for coats etc Lack of wifi was irritating especially as it doesn't state there isn't any available. For the price I think wifi is a reasonable thing to put in. Artwork or similar on the walls would be a nice touch as it was very bare. Unfortunately there was a noisy apartment below playing loud music but the sykes representative sorted this issue swiftly There was also a building with building work directly next door I enquired about it through sykes but was told the owner knew nothing of it. However a review a few months prior stated building work was going on. As nothing was stated in the booking I presumed this had ended but it had not. I was not pleased this was not stated in the booking especially after spending 24 hours with a loud neighbour playing loud music. Hangers were broken in the wardrobe and there was only about 8 including the broken ones. The mop and bucket were also in the bedroom wardrobe and we're a bit smelly I know some if the cons are small stuff. But I left after 1 night as i was fed up.

We absolutely love the location and the view. We were impressed with the follow up to the concerns we raised, which were sorted quickly. Building work in the next door apartments could be noisy at times (Mon-Fri), but when the work is completed on that property, this will not be an issue as it is a quiet location, with allocated parking for each apartment.

.. cleaners obviously could noy see that high Apart from that it was clean Maintainance guy was lovely very helpful Even though it states no WiFi now days its a surprise but the amount if money spent inside it would not have cost much more to get WiFi put in.

“Beautiful apartment set in a stunning location.”

The apartment is well equipped and is to a high spec. The only area that was disappointing was the cleanliness the floors hadn’t been mopped as when we arrived I spilt some drink on the floor, when I wiped it up with some kitchen roll and it was black. I also dropped something in the bedroom which rolled under the bed and the dust under the bed was awful it hasn’t been hoovered for a very long time. The towels also had a fusty smell but luckily I was able to re wash them and they dried quickly on the airer as the weather was so good. This said I would stop at the apartment again as these things were easily rectified but I shouldn’t be cleaning on our holiday. The cleaning company needs to check once the cleaners have been in as to the eye it looks clean but look a bit closer and it needs more work.

“Really easy booking system.”

Listing was accurate. Easy to find and we loved the apartment. Clean and with everything we needed for a week’s holiday. The welcome starter pack was a lovely touch with local coffee, teabags, milk, biscuits and sustainable cleaning cloth and two dishwasher tablets. Very short walk to the beach and village. We stayed with our 2 year and she loved it too. Would definitely recommend and book again.

“Accommodation is very clean and well equipped, situated in a beautiful village, beach was beautiful and the local pub very handy, the only negative is no Internet, which i didn’t realise until after I had booked (I wrongly assumed this was a standard thing especially with such a new property) I think in today’s world this would benefit all guests, especially searching local restaurants and being able to check availability and to book tables etc.”

This however did not stop us having a great holiday, but worth a mention. Many thanks and best wishes for 2022. Belinda, Norfolk.

“This was a lovely place to stay.”

Very modern and comfortable and in a good location with a beautiful view over Crantock Bay. Crantock village is nice with a couple of good pubs (we favoured the Cornishman). We also visited C Bay cafe towards West Pentire where we had a fantastic cream team. There are lots of lovely walks to do and small beaches to visit on foot. Newquay is within easy reach. It would have been nice to have wifi rather than relying on our mobile phones all the time. Would definitely recommend it.

Crantock is a small Cornish village, just a short walk from the beach, close to the popular resort of Newquay.
