“Ideal for a larger family or families who like space.”

The two lounges and 4 bathrooms were great. We were two families (all adults) and it was spacious enough to allow us to get together when we wanted but still maintain our independence

“The Old Barn "did what it said on the tin".”

We had a lovely week and the weather was kind, always a bonus. The cottage was warm, comfortable full of rustic charm. A great place for relaxation and to unwind. The alpacas made the holiday and the owners we happy to share their alpaca experiences with us. Plenty of space for four of us as it slept 8. Last minute booking offered at a good price. We would consider staying again if in that area of Cornwall.

Higher Wringworthy Farm

Two charming stone-built cottages set on the Higher Wringworthy Farm near the historic fishing port of Looe - a fabulous location for exploring the South coast of Cornwall. Made up of The Old Barn - a Grade II listed, traditional barn conversion, and Spinners Cottage - a more modern, single storey stone cottage, they sleep up to ten people. Both are beautifully furnished, boasting stunning, exposed wooden beams and open, refreshing living areas, the two cottages make for wonderfully relaxing bases to return to at the end of each adventure-filled day. This spacious Grade II listed barn conversion lies on a working farm in the hamlet of Morval, 2 miles from the thriving port and town of Looe.

An ideal base for those wishing to explore the south coast of Cornwall, the property sits at the end of a private farm lane, immersed in nothing but glorious countryside.

The minute you arrive you will be impressed by the sheer size of the barn, the lovely stone built walls adding to the traditional cottage feel.

The conversion has allowed for spacious rooms and high ceilings which accommodates well for family living.

There are two large sitting rooms to choose from, one with four sofas, a dining table and superb balcony and the other featuring an alluring wood burner that is perfect for quieter moments.

The ample kitchen features various integrated appliances to meet your culinary needs and there is also a family dining table to gather at mealtimes.

Hosting four bedrooms in total, the property can sleep up to 8 guests; there are two first floor doubles and the ground floor holds a further double and twin.

The first floor both have en-suite facilities while the the ground floor bedrooms are located next to one of bathrooms which boasts a lovely Jacuzzi bath.

The relaxed garden and surrounding countryside adds to your relaxation.

There are some fantastic walking opportunities with the idyllic Polperro Heritage Coast and South West Coastal Path nearby.

The historical town of Looe can be reached in a short drive and is where you can find a variety of restaurants and old pubs, as well as two fantastic beaches.

Appealing to the fishermen in the party, Looe has a bustling fishing port and trips can even be arranged from the harbour.

Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. You can also catch the river taxi between East and West Looe. East Looe has narrow cobbled streets, twisting alleyways and plenty of tourist shops, whilst West Looe has a lovely outlook across the harbour. Looe’s viewpoint, Banjo Pier, can be reached from the quay and is a great spot to watch the returning fishing trawlers and look across the bay to Looe Island, which can be walked to occasionally at very low tides. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. There is also a great rock pool area at Hannafore that children will love. West Looe has a Heritage Centre that recently opened in the Old Sardine Factory with a climbing wall and a cafe and the delightful Kilminorth Woods have way marked walks through the majestic oak wood, rich in plant, insect and bird life. Apart from beach activities in this part of south east Cornwall, there are many mining remains on Bodmin Moor and in the Tamar Valley and much of the mining landscape has World Heritage status. This area of Cornwall has inspired writers, such as Daphne du Maurier and much of Bodmin Moor has inspired legends linked with King Arthur. There is much to explore in this beautiful part of Cornwall.
