    Mr Ross

“Trevillick cottage is a lovely detached property set in lovely gardens.”

It is approximately half a mile from the cliffs and coastal route walk. The cottage is very dog friendly as the ground floor is almost all stone flags or tiled, and the garden is almost secure to let them out alone, just needed a piece of wood at bottom of a gate to stop the little dog from escaping? It is well equipped with everything we required. There is a log burner in the sitting room and an Aga in the dining room. This was oil fired and on all the time making the cottage lovely and warm but ...

This was oil fired and on all the time making the cottage lovely and warm but also ideal for heating our Cornish pasties and pizzas etc.Had a walk along coastal route to Boscastle approximately 5 miles past Tintagel castle the cliffs etc are spectacular. We also walked over the fields via a public footpath to Tintagel village about 15 minuets, beware of the horse in one field, didn’t like us in his field tried to kick us on two occasions! There is another public walk just passed the cottage to Tintagel boycotting the horse but the styles are a bit high for getting over. We enjoyed our stop at Trevillick cottage and visiting the lovely little fishing villages in the area and would come back in the future. I would recommend Trevillick cottage as a lovely quiet base for exploring the beautiful county of Cornwall

The property

Tintagel 1 mile.

This detached farmhouse rests in the village of Tintagel, an area dominated by the sea, rocky coves and impressive scenery.

Tucked away at the end of a farm lane with country views from every window, Trevillick Cottage is perfect for families or a group of friends wishing to truly get away from it all, with exposed interior stone walls, slate floors and a beamed ceiling bringing your getaway to life.

The cottage commences with a homely kitchen continuing through to a light, airy dining area which includes seating for four people, and views over towards the neighbors field.

The dining room comprises of an AGA cooker, which sits within an arched stone fireplace, and the sitting room is centred by a woodburning stove.

Make your way up to the first floor to be welcomed by the three bedrooms; as well as a double and twin set-up, there is also a bunk room providing access to a fantastic decked balcony with sea views on clear days, and also the exceptional family bathroom.

For your convenience, a shower room is situated on the ground floor too.

Outdoors, the garden is home to a delightful pond with its own resident frogs.

There is a picnic table with a barbecue where you can enjoy dining in the fresh air, and a patio by the front door with a table and two chairs for a sunny morning.

For the energetic, the Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside.

Head north along the path and in 2.5 miles is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment.

Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions.

A fabulous stay all-year-round.
