“Whileaway Cottage is in a delightful spot with beautiful views.”

Unfortunately we didn't see any of the famous sunsets as we had a very wet week there. The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortably and tastefully furnished and equipped. Deb and Bob, the owners were very helpful, kind and welcoming. We can recommend the cottage for a quiet, peaceful holiday.

“Just returned from a glorious two week stay at Whileaway Cottage.”

The cottage was everything we could have wished for. It was spacious and immaculately presented. The location was perfect, so quiet and peaceful with views across open fields as far as the eye could see. Wonderful sunsets to enjoy as well as the birdsong. Thank you so much Deb and Bob for allowing us to enjoy this cottage and make memories that will live with us forever

“What an absolute gem!”

The cottage was immaculate throughout with everything required for a lovely stay. Welcome hamper was very generous and extremely welcome after our journey down. Owners were simply wonderful; friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area and places to visit. Nothing was too much trouble. Onsite parking was a great help and the views and sunsets were spectacular! Would and have already recommended it! Only downside was having to leave....

Sunset to die for. Accommodation was well equipped and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed our week at Whileaway Cottage, lovely and quiet, deep in the Cornwall countryside yet close enough to the beach with a 10 minute trip in the car. We would definitely book again.

“This is a lovely holiday cottage, so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful countryside.”

We really enjoyed sitting on the patio and listening to/watching the birds in the meadow. We do have some suggestions that would help improve the experience for others. Although there was no tea pot there was a cafetiere. There were no lids for any of the saucepans, so we had to use a baking tray to cover the pan to stop the heat escaping. These are small issues and won't be a problem for many people.

Everything you need for a short break or longer holiday the cottage is perfect for two people who would like some peace and quiet. Great care has been taken to decorate the cottage to a high standard and with comfort in mind. A different sunset to photograph every night across the beautiful view.Couldn't fault it.

It offered a peaceful retreat for a couple wishing to get away from it all. The property is, however, gated and this did make entering and leaving the property a little difficult for my wife who has mobility difficulties. Generally, a very enjoyable holiday.

Welcome to Whileaway Cottage, a single-storey barn conversion, set in picture perfect rolling countryside of the beautiful South East Cornwall.

This cottage enjoys a rural location while being just a short drive away from local amenities as well as having all the home comforts you will need to enjoy your Cornish Cottage self-catering holiday; ideal for couples or to simply enjoy all by yourself!

Whileaway Cottage is nestled between the bustling harbour town of Looe and the fishing village of Polperro with their quirky streets lined with quaint fisherman’s cottages; both have an abundance of shops, pubs, cafes and tearooms as well as some of the best restaurants Cornwall has to offer.

There are also beautiful beaches and stunning coves just waiting for you to discover and explore!

On arrival at the cottage you will be able to park up in your own designated off-road parking space.

Entering the property you will be greeted by a wonderful open-plan space with a fully-equipped kitchen with dining area, which leads through to the lounge with large picture windows and French doors looking out onto stunning countryside views.

The bedroom has a plush king-sized bed for you to snuggle down into as well as an en-suite shower room with contemporary finishing touches.

Outside the views lend the cottage a delightful sense of calm; where you can relax and “whileaway” the hours with a glass of wine after a day of exploring all that Cornwall has to offer, be it walking the coastal path with picturesque coastline, join this at Lansallos which is just 2 miles away and a National Trust car park.

Or spend a day in the ancient streets of Fowey best known as the home of Daphne du Maurier.

Fowey stands in the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Beauty and is situated just a few miles down the road from the cottage via the Bodinnick Ferry.

If you fancy a day on the water look no further than Looe Adventure Fit SouthWest where you can explore Looe river in a kayak or on a paddle board; for those seeking leisurely strolls you can meander around beautiful gardens and historical stately homes such as Pencarrow a gorgeous Georgian House surrounded by a lake and picturesque woodland, Saltram House and gardens, and Antony House where Alice in Wonderland was filmed.

A little further afield is Trebah Gardens with its lush exotic gardens on the Helford River boasting its own little cove for you to explore.
