Welcome to Harvey’s Lodge – Your Woodland Retreat.

Tucked away in a peaceful, tree-lined valley, in the beautiful and historical Cornish hamlet of Lowertown on the outskirts of Helston.

Harvey’s Lodge offers the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and connection to nature.

This beautifully crafted open-plan wooden lodge invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and unwind in a tranquil setting just a whisper away from the gentle River Cober.

Step inside to a warm, light-filled space where nature and comfort meet.

The well-equipped kitchenette, complete with twin sink, microwave/convection oven, coffee machine, and all the essentials, makes preparing meals a pleasure, especially with a woodland view from the window and a convenient dining area nearby to enjoy your creations.

For moments of rest and relaxation, settle into the plush modular sofa with adjustable headrests, perfect for stretching out in front of the smart flat-screen TV with Freesat, or enjoying a quiet game from the selection of traditional wooden games thoughtfully provided on the coffee table.

Outside, your own little garden awaits—a peaceful, sun-drenched terrace with a table and chairs for al fresco dining, a small lawn, and a rattan sofa nestled beneath the trees.

This private sanctuary is a true suntrap, surrounded by nature’s soundtrack and just a stone’s throw from the river’s gentle flow, and only a short drive from every Cornish coastline.

Harvey’s Lodge is designed for year-round comfort: fully insulated to stay refreshingly cool in summer and warm and cosy through the colder months.

At the end of the day, retreat to the super king-size bed (which can also be configured as twin beds), and wake to rustic garden views.

The spacious en-suite wet room features a generous shower and a beautiful stained glass window—an unexpected touch of colour and charm.

The lodge is nestled beneath a retired historical viaduct in the Cober Valley, a popular hamlet for visitors as it is home to the famous Cober stepping stones, this walk will lead you to a local supermarket and the Helston boating lake, complete with café, peddle boats and large children’s play area, all situated a short walk from Helston town centre.

Take a ride on the local Helston Steam railway, only 2.2 miles away from your holiday home.

The Lodge provides easy access to all the Cornish coasts, and there is an attraction for all the family!

The beach at Praa Sands offers a mile of golden sand, perfect for water sports and swimming, with a beach café for refreshment, parking, a local pub, a coastal path for rambling, and local shops.

The traditional harbour village of Porthleven is only 4.1 miles away and boasts fabulous restaurants serving the catch of the day and worldwide cuisine, dotted around the pretty quay.

From here ramble the coast path, the route to Rinsey Head is circular, or walk to Church Cove.

Venture out to Penzance, with Jubilee Sea Water Pool, galleries to browse, a sculpture garden, pubs, and a promenade.

St Michael’s Mount is incredibly picturesque; venture across the cobbled causeway at low tide to this castle-topped semi-isle.

If you enjoy a little boat trip, the ferry will get you there too.

Marazion, with splendid eateries and a long sandy beach, makes for a great day out.

Beautiful Helford River, with secret creeks and little beaches, is a must: hire a kayak, or enjoy a walk with a picnic.

Falmouth, with its harbour, Pendennis Castle, Maritime Museum, four beaches, and a ferry to St Mawes, will keep you entertained for hours.

Take a leisure trip or fishing excursion around the bay!

National Trust’s Lizard Point is the most southerly tip, with a rugged coastal landscape ideal for rambles and seal and dolphin spotting.

Equally beautiful, St Ives has galleries, independent boutiques, an abundance of eateries, and beaches for swimming and surf schools.
