Highly recommend and would stay again.- Mr Saunders, October 2019
“Een mooi huisje met alle voorzieningen voor een aangename vakantie.”
Mooi gelegen met een uitzicht op een tuin iets buiten het dorpje Lanner. Vriendelijke ontvangst door de eigenaars. Mooi centraal gelegen in Cornwall als uitvalsbasis naar div bezienswaardigheden en stranden.- Koomen, July 2019
“Everything was perfect - we couldn't have wished for a better experience.”
The accommodation was beautiful, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. David and Nim were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. Thank you!- Mr Mcmahon, June 2019
“Description on your website did not mention there was another property next to it, which was a bit of a surprise as we thought it was just an annex.”
It also says there's space to park two cars, which makes you think there's ample room, but of course we had to share with our 'neighbours'. It was a tight fit. The DVD player in the cottage was useless as it could not be connected to the fairly new television, which was a disappointing as we had brought some DVD's along with us to watch during our stay.- Mr Bresnan, June 2019
“Comfortable and central to all of Cornwall’s main tourist sites as well as some excellent walks.”
The owner was very friendly and helpful. Access to the property can be challenging if you have a large vehicle.- Mr Sheehan, May 2019
“Our expectations were high and we are not disappointed.”
Cottage and equipment inside were as described on website. The owner did everything to delight us. Thanks to Nim and Dave. Thanks also to Sykes to solve our little booking problem at the beginning.- Mr Reibetanz, August 2018
“Wonderful house and garden a great setting for the Garden View.”
. Hosts were very welcoming and their visitors pack full of very useful information. We intend to return again next year as we had such a great re,lacing time.- Mr Wilkins, July 2018
“Had a great time here, the owners were very friendly and helpful, but didnt interfere at all.”
Cottage was very clean and comfortable, though the driveway was quite narrow and twisting, so a long or wide car may have trouble. We took a small SUV and got through fine though. The two parking spaces are shared with another holiday cottage, so if you're bringing more than one car there may not be room. Gardens are beautiful, area is very peaceful and there is plenty to do close by.- Miss Coverley, June 2018

About the location
Redruth 2 miles; Falmouth 9 miles; Portreath 7 miles.
Just outside Redruth on the road towards Falmouth, Lanner was once part of Cornwall’s mining epicentre. Today, the village is welcoming and friendly, with a number of convenience stores, a bakery, a village hall and several good pubs. Carn Marth overlooks Lanner village from its hilltop location; a former granite quarry, this is now a lovely place for a walk or cycle. Nearby Carn Brea is worth a visit too; here you will find a Medieval castle (now a restaurant), which once belonged to Lord Bassett, the most influential mine owner in the area during the 18th and 19th centuries. The beaches at Portreath and Porthtowan are just a short drive from Lanner, and there are several off-road cycle trails in the area, including the Coast to Coast Trail which follows the original tramway from Portreath on the north coast to Devoran on the south.
Note: Regretfully, no children under the age of 5. Take care with children as there is a drop and some steps.
