Adjacent to the owners' own home, Garden View has an attractive sun-spot patio for alfresco dining overlooking the large shared garden with a complimentary barrel sauna and raised lawn - take care with children as there is a drop and some steps.

There is a pretty stream and pond in the front garden (please supervise children) Lanner village boasts three family-friendly pubs, a superb fish and chip shop and bakery.

Enjoy a round of golf or tranquil cycle trail along the ancient Mineral Tramways.

The charismatic cathedral city of Truro has a cinema, theatre and a plethora of stores to quench that retail fix.

Explore one of the National Trust houses nearby or visit scenic St Ives - a must visit resort with excellent eateries, coffee shops, art galleries, boutiques and choice of beaches, all arcing around the little harbour.

About the location

Redruth 2 miles; Falmouth 9 miles; Portreath 7 miles.

Just outside Redruth on the road towards Falmouth, Lanner was once part of Cornwall’s mining epicentre. Today, the village is welcoming and friendly, with a number of convenience stores, a bakery, a village hall and several good pubs. Carn Marth overlooks Lanner village from its hilltop location; a former granite quarry, this is now a lovely place for a walk or cycle. Nearby Carn Brea is worth a visit too; here you will find a Medieval castle (now a restaurant), which once belonged to Lord Bassett, the most influential mine owner in the area during the 18th and 19th centuries. The beaches at Portreath and Porthtowan are just a short drive from Lanner, and there are several off-road cycle trails in the area, including the Coast to Coast Trail which follows the original tramway from Portreath on the north coast to Devoran on the south.

Note: Regretfully, no children under the age of 5. Take care with children as there is a drop and some steps.
