The property

Close to the beautiful beaches and resorts of Padstow Bay in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, sits Duck Puddle Cottage.

This homely and welcoming getaway for couples makes the ideal sanctuary for both relaxation and recreation from its tranquil village location.

Padstow, Polzeath and Rock are all within easy reach.

Padstow makes a great day out with eateries, including Rick Stein's Seafood restaurant, cafes, galleries and gift shops dotted around the quay.

The coast path walk atop the River Camel frames a postcard seascape to Hawkers Cove and beyond, with picturesque Daymer Bay and Polzeath Beach beckoning from across the water.

Board the ferry to Rock for a seafaring adventure, tide permitting!

Wadebridge is a pretty town with an eclectic mix of shops and boutiques all worthy of a browse - a pit-stop for a coffee or pasty, or for stocking up on provisions.

Pack a picnic before hiring cycles and peddling the Camel Trail, the famed traffic-free, level track spanning ten miles to Bodmin - a fun adventure through beautiful woodland along the River Camel, or five miles to Padstow.

Back towards the coast, Harlyn, Trevone, Booby's Bay, Constantine and Treyarnon are all scenic destinations.

Explore the coast path with panoramic ocean views.

Play golf, discover The Lost Gardens of Heligan, book a Spa treatment at Bedruthan Hotel or explore Bodmin Moor.

After a day out, settle in the Ring O' Bells or The Pickwick for food and refreshment, or the bistro at neighbouring Little Petherick. Set in St Issey village, Duck Puddle Cottage forms an annex to the owners' home, yet offers a good degree of tranquility.

With well presented accommodation all on one level to include a living/dining room, kitchen with views across the attractive neighbouring garden, a country-pretty bedroom and shower room - all the home comforts are provided.

Enjoy the Cornish air in the sunny, enclosed garden with a good book, cream tea or glass of Shiraz!
