There should perhaps be some notice in the booking notes to this effect, particularly when one arrives late and hopes to at least have the basics.
One or two things not functional and no luck phoning the contact number either, bit tricky when there's only a landline number given and no mobile signal at the property. An email or mobile number would have helped...
It's a gorgeous little cottage, we hope to return soon, please take the above critique as constructive criticism rather than a bit of a moan!
