“Porth beach house was perfect for our family beach holiday.”

Enough space for our family of four to spread out and relax. Within minutes you were on the sand playing by the sea. Just fantastic! The accommodation was well equipped. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked again for next year.

The property

Dreaming of lazy days by the sea and the freedom of the great outdoors?

Then where else would you want to be than on a breathtaking stretch of coastline with a golden sandy cove literally on your doorstep.

Lying two miles from Newquay's famous beaches and before the coast road climbs steeply heading two miles north to the magnificent surfing waves of Watergate Bay, home to the Extreme Water Sports Academy and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant, the quieter resort of Porth is well placed for a world of sun, sea and surf.

Set in a small terrace of modern houses at the head of the award winning cove and beside a beachside Inn that caters well for visitors, with crazy golf and a pitch and putt nearby, the convenience of the location is unrivalled. Entry at the rear of the property is straight into the galley style kitchen and on into a living room with floor to ceiling windows, beech flooring and contemporary furnishings.

A door leads out onto a railed deck balcony where you can sit and enjoy the fresh sea air and the activity on the beach.

Open tread stairs lead up and in keeping with the ocean side setting, the double bedroom captures a spectacular view across the cove and down to the sea, encapsulating a headland topped with a sparkling white Huer's hut where in times past a lone Huer would scan the sea for the silver pilchard harvest.

Both bedrooms and the newly fitted bathroom are fresh and uncluttered.

Just around the low headland is Whipsiderry beach with caves and rock pools to explore at low tide and the coast path offers miles of scenic rambles.

There is allocated parking for one car and extra parking nearby.
