    “The accomodation was great and we had a wonderful few days there.”

    It was clean and had everything you needed. The retreat was so peaceful would definitely go there again we were sorry to leave. Would definitely recommend. The location was good as we were exploring different places in Cornwall that we wanted to visit.

The property

Enjoying a wonderful position on the outskirts of the quiet village of Dobwalls in southeast Cornwall is 7 Meadow Retreat, a fabulous single-storey lodge.

This outstanding holiday accommodation is set within the glorious Cornish countryside but is within striking distance of the stunning coastline, making a great base for families or couples seeking an action-packed adventure; four guests are invited.

Admire your tranquil setting before entering the open-plan living room, light-flooded by the large windows and patio doors, ensuring a welcoming space to enjoy quality time with loved ones.

The extensively fitted kitchen is certain to entice a spot of home-cooking, by making use of the electric oven, gas hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer before regrouping at the dining table to relish in some much needed catch up time.

Completing the space is a plush sitting area, where you can look forward to cosying up on the sofa and tuning into the TV.

The impressive master bedroom comes with a king-size bed, a stylish en-suite shower room and a spacious dressing room, so that you can store your belongings and prepare for your stay in style, whilst the twin bedroom is the ideal set up for children or friends.

Continuing to impress is the decked area, where table and chairs offer a spot for alfresco dining before savouring a moment of relaxation by dipping into the hot tub and gazing up at the stars.

If you can tear yourself away from this wonderful property, head into the centre of Dobwalls, where you will find a shop and The Highwayman, which is a traditional pub serving classic dishes and a selection of ales and ciders to enjoy.

Alternatively, venture to the pretty market town of Liskeard, where you will find a larger selection of amenities or if you are seeking to explore the countryside of Cornwall further, explore the slopes of the nearby Bodmin Moor, home to a plethora of walking and cycling routes.

The coastline is also within a scenic drive, including the fishing harbours of Looe, Polperro and Fowey or if you are bringing your surfboard along, head north to Polzeath.

Attractions within the surrounding area, great for families and friends include the Adrenalin Quarry, the Carnglaze Caverns and the enchanting Golitha Falls.

About the location

DOBWALLS

Liskeard 2.6 miles; Looe 8.4 miles.

The rural village of Dobwalls is surrounded by open fields and wooded countryside, and is close to the market town of Liskeard, the slopes of Bodmin Moor and the glorious north and south Cornish coastlines. This is a perfect base for exploring the many delights the region has to offer, with the picturesque fishing harbours of Looe, Fowey and Polperro within 15 miles to the south whilst Padstow and the surfing beach at Polzeath lie a comfortable drive away on the North Coast. Take a trip to Siblyback Lake and enjoy the wonderful sailing, fishing and watersports on offer, or travel a little further and take advantage of the superb walking on Bodmin Moor. The Eden project lies within 15 miles and Plymouth is just a 30 minute drive, or 25 minute train ride from nearby Liskeard station. With the Barbican harbour district, renowned aquarium, and good selection of shops, restaurants and theatres, this is a great holiday base.
