    “We had a wonderful stay at The Water Mill, a beautifully presented holiday home set in the most idyllic gardens and peaceful countryside.”

    All the old original features of the Water Mill inside the cottage were fascinating and amazing to see! The cottage was very comfortable, every amenity thoughtfully provided and cleanliness was immaculate throughout. Jackie and Steve were lovely hosts, genuinely welcoming and provided us with maps of the area and recommending places to visit. A gift of cider, biscuits, crisps, fruit, and chocolate on arrival was a very thoughtful touch. It is a beautiful little place that we 100% ...

The unspoilt location offers a rural retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, while remaining within easy reach of the coast and Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor, making it ideal for both relaxation and exploration. Beyond the property, Launceston is well worth a visit, home to a historic castle, museum, and a range of independent shops.

Venture to Bude to explore its sandy beaches, sea pool, and coastal walks, or head to Padstow for its picturesque harbour, excellent dining and access to the Camel Trail.

The town of Launceston, situated on the Devon and Cornwall border, has wonderful architecture, including some fine Georgian buildings in the central square, and is dominated by the ruins of a Norman castle sitting high above the town. You can take a stroll to the Dog friendly Willow Tree Cafe and Woodland Walk or visit the steam train from Launceston through the beautiful Kensey Valley on a 5-mile round trip. Launceston is within driving distance of the seaside resorts of Bude and Padstow to the north, and Plymouth to the south, as well as the stunning Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. A superb base for exploring Cornwall and Devon.
