“This property is no longer available for holidays lets.”- Mr Mason, March 2019
“I had high expectations because of previous reviews and they were justified.”
A pleasure to stay in for a few days. As others have said probably the nicest we have rented. Would stay again had it been possible.- Mrs Mcguire, March 2019
“Accommodation very clean and comfortable, large rear garden totally secure for children and pets to be safe.”
Thoughtful welcome tray received with thanks.- Mrs Hartry, March 2019
“The property was clean, comfortable and had lots of little touches that made it a home from home.”
Such beautiful surroundings and yet close enough to walk into such a friendly town centre. We were fortunate enough to meet the owners who were so lovely and thoughtful. It is a shame this property is being taken off holiday rental market. I would have stayed here again.- Ms Quick, February 2019
“Lovely clean, roomy and warm property, who's back garden and side seating areas are nor overlooked.”
There was a minor problem (could happened on any property), which was resolved the following day. So, credit to the owners who both listened and responded. Great access direct to open moorland via footpaths (a couple it oif minutes walk). This direct access means you are on the edge of town, however, it is quiet. Tavistock has shops, play areas and walks to boot.- Mr Rolton, November 2018
“After several years of holidaying with Sykes my expectations of how things will be have got to the level where it would be very difficult to exceed them, I now pretty much take a very high standard for granted.”
If you've not been to many of Sykes cottages however, you would be very difficult to please if you weren't impressed by this one. A very attractive and comfortable bungalow with stunning scenery moments walk away and so many places to visit within a reasonable drive, if you can drag yourself away from the Moor that is.- Mr Mason, October 2018
“Exceptionally clean and well appointed holiday home.”- Mrs McCarthy, August 2018
“Perfect clean beautiful bungalow, in a perfect spot right on the edge of the Dartmoor, very near to shops, swimming baths, market, lots to see and do, just a perfect holiday.”- Mrs Lewis, August 2018
“Lovely bungalow, beautifully equipted and well positioned for touring the area.”- Mr Mills, July 2018
“This is a brilliant holiday home - has everything you could need and the accommodation is superb.”
Ideally placed to visit both Devon and Cornwall. Highly recommended.- Ms Wigmore, June 2018
“Edgemoor is a lovely quiet and extremely comfortable bungalow.”
Very spacious. My wife and I and our dog loved it. Tavistock centre is a short distance away. The surrounding area has plenty of activities for everyone young and not so young, active and not so active. We did not expect fresh flowers, scones, jam and cream when we arrived. The garden is a real bonus and we took every opportunity to sit on the patio area. The beds were really comfortable. All in all a very good and enjoyable holiday and we would happily return.- Mr Chester, June 2018
“The accommodation was lovely.”
I was less impressed with the fact that one of the neighbours obviously has a key to the garage and entered the garage whilst we were in to check what was in the bins to put them out!!! I found this a little disturbing and wondered if they had other keys to gain access to the property??? I had already decided that we weren't putting the bins out on Friday morning as we had only arrived on Wednesday night and there seemed little point since there was only paper in the bin, so no point in putting an essentially empty plastic bag out.- Miss Goodall, May 2018
“Excellent accommodation and owner was extremely helpful in assisting us with our needs.”
Ideally situated close to facilities in Tavistock and extremely clean. Cannot wait to return.- Mr Cleaver, April 2018
“The cottage was located on the edge of Dartmoor, literally only 2 minutes walk and you were on the Moor with the Sheep and Ponies, our dog Charlie loved it.”
. Tavistock town centre was only 20 minutes walk away. A great location for exploring Dartmoor and all its nuances.- Mr Preen, March 2018
“Lovely well equipped cottage.”
Very comfortable.- Mr Watts, March 2018
“Lovely bungalow, a peaceful and relaxing break”- Mrs Gardner, March 2018
“2nd visit within a year.”
