Porthallow is a small unspoilt fishing village, located on the Lizard Peninsula on the Helford River. 

Why a Porthallow Cottage?

The sea is safe but not ideal for swimming but the beach is rocky which does not make for comfortable sunbathing. There are some superb coastal walks in the area, and on a clear day it is possible to see across to Falmouth Bay, St Mawes and even Fowey.

During the summer months many events take place in the village including regattas, barbecues and fetes. Porthallow has a fantastic pub "The Five Pilchards", a beach cafe, post office, tea shop, gallery "Porthallow Arts" and even its own vineyard.

Places to Visit near Porthallow

Porthallow's location makes it a great base for exploring the destinations such as Helston, Porthleven and Mullion on the Lizard. It is also ideally places for visiting Falmouth and the nearby villages of Helford, Mawnan Smith and Manaccan.
