Why a St Just cottage?

The town is centred around the Plain-an-Gwarry, one of the few remaining examples left in Cornwall of a medieval open air theatre . Once the hub of the tin mining industry in the area, the town’s past can be seen in its buildings and the abandoned engine houses dotted about the landscape.

Lined with pretty granite buildings and narrow streets, this charming town is small but packed with character. Spend time exploring the Jackson Foundation, a gallery set up by Kurt and Caroline jackson, housing contemporary exhibitions.

Places to visit near St Just

Travel to Land’s End and discover the magical Cape Cornwall. Wind your way down narrow lanes to be rewarded with stunning uninterrupted sea views that offer a raw taste of Cornish coast. Other nearby attractions include sub-tropical gardens and estates including: Trengwainton, Morrab Gardens and Trereife Park.

If travelling further afield, visit Penzance, home to an array of landmarks and sight-seeing opportunities. Other destinations within driving distance include Sennen, Newlyn, Marazion, St Ives and Hayle.
